As ifi audio said you need to try for yourself but i believe will do. When it does is difficult to go back without it.Can someone tell me if ipurifier 3 will make a difference to my chord mojo when it is connected via optical cable? I am using a douk audio U2 proUSB to SPDIF converter to connect to mojo's optical input. Is jitter a bigger problem on coax vs optical ?

@RotundCatto In response to your question about coax vs. toslink with respect to jitter:
https://electronics.stackexchange.c...age-of-optical-toslink-over-rca-coaxial-cable
[Toslink/optical prone to more jitter, according to the article.]
Also, for SPDIF [coax or toslink], is it not the iPurifier2 version?

Oh yeah, id definetly reccomend the SPDIF ipurifier before the usb ipurfier3.@RotundCatto In response to your question about coax vs. toslink with respect to jitter:

It has galvanic isolation, better tatanlum caps AND a dedocated 5v power replacement built in. While the usb ipurifer would help too, id try the spdif purifier first.

I understand the need to hear for myself but I am just curious whether anyone has noticed any difference with ipurifier USB connected to a Digital Interface like douk U2 Pro instead of being connected directly to the DAC. The douk audio DDC itself has galvanically isolated USB input so I guess whatever difference the ipurifier 3 USB will make is gonna be due to jitter correction. With questions like this, I always answer this way.
You need to hear for yourself if it is beneficial for your listening, that being said always buy from a retailer or shop that will allow you a no-questions-asked return policy, just in case it is not for you.
Experimenting and discovering is what we are all here for, but your ears in the end will tell the tale.
Cheers!!

I have 5 usb purifers chained together and each one makes a difference, id be shocked to not hear a difference even when the end signal is converted to spdifI understand the need to hear for myself but I am just curious whether anyone has noticed any difference with ipurifier USB connected to a Digital Interface like douk U2 Pro instead of being connected directly to the DAC. It is not the ipurifier SPDIF 2 version I am interested in buying because I own a portable chord mojo so I want an ipurifier which can help clean up the digital signal from both my desktop computers and also laptops/smartphones for on the go music listening. If I buy the spdif version I would have to carry the douk audio USB to SPDIF converter with me which is hardly a portable solution.@RotundCatto In response to your question about coax vs. toslink with respect to jitter:

Well I am convinced, I will buy the ipurifer 3 USB version, but I have a query. I have a USB A to B cable, If I buy a USB A to Micro USB cable can I use it to connect to the micro USB digital input of the chord mojo from the ipurifier USB A output ?
The chain is gonna look like this-
Laptop --> USB A output --> USB A to B cable --> ipurifer 3 USB B input --> ipurifier 3 USB A output --> USB A to micro USB cable --> chord Mojo

iPurifier3 has USB B [male] output, so you need a USB-B [female] to micro USB [male] adapter to link with the Mojo. AudioQuest makes a good one, which is what I used when I had the Mojo.
B&H Photo used to carry these.

Actually the iPurifier3 comes in a USB A variant too which I plan to buy, I am just wondering if that USB A ouput can accept a male USB A cable and connect to chord Mojo.

I have the type B version of the iPurifier3 and the type A version of the iPurifier2. Yes, the type A output works with any standard USB A to mini/micro/type-c (etc) cable.
I purchased the iPurifier3 a few years ago when it was first released and it came with type B to micro and type-c adapters (as pictured in this review: https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/ifi-ipurifier-3-0.23374/reviews#review-21639 )
So, unless iFi somehow changed or removed the included accessories, you shouldn't need to buy any extra adapters.
