If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

The ER2s were cheaper on Amazon. They even had the ER2XR for 65USD a month or two ago. I paid 85USD for the ER2SE on Amazon. I see the ER4SR for 300, doesn't seem like a steep discount. This a regional pricing thing?
ER4SR for 300?

im seeing it for $190 O.o

$300 on Adorama. Someone said Adorama had cheaper prices than everyone else, but like you're seeing Amazon is wayyyy cheaper.

Hey guys i got a problem with my er4xr. Basically the right buds has some cutoff and distortion. This is just happening randomly. I contacted the seller and they are offering me a free replacement, so I am glad to take it. (Like too much the er4xr)

For the sound I like the large 3 flanges better, but I want also try the new double flanges.
Someone know where to buy a mixed set of dual flanges ? (Like s,m,l)
As far as I found, they are selling them as set of same dimension.
I also found a set of all ety eartips for
29 $ on their website, which is great, but shipping to Italy is 45 $... A bit too much. If someone know where to buy it with cheaper shipping it will be great!

Thanks
Try hifiheadphones in the UK think the sets are around £20 and the postage will be cheaper

Yep. So as I asked a few posts ago, does anyone know how this is possible? It's well past the holiday sales time!!

I see it now from this link:
https://www.adorama.com/etyer4sr.html?emailprice=t

But if I just search for Etymotic on the Adorama site it pulls up the retail price. Yeah this isn't good lol, I wanted to wait for the new double BA's to come out first.

Does anyone know why the Adorama Etymotics are so much cheaper than anywhere else? The sales continue, well past the holidays. As has been said here, they are cheaper than even used ones sold in other places...

That's a good question, maybe they forgot to take down the page :p The normal page for the ERX has normal prices still.

Maybe... that said I think the normal (or at least a higher price) page was also up through the holidays. Both have been up simultaneously for a while...

@EtyDave @Everyone How deep will this new multi-BA design go into the ear? It would suppose less that ER-series, but more than say, Shure models?

Well, now that's a little bit difficult to answer as this earphone sits in the concha and our previous models don't. That said, in my ear (n=1 is good science, right?) I can get both equivalently deep with the 2-flange, but maybe not quite as deep with the large 3-flange. I get good attenuation with both, but there is slight difference in fit.

So, depending on the person, eartip and insertion preferences, there could be a difference or possibly not.

How's that for a safe non-committal answer?

I've got a load of money burning a hole in my pocket, when are you taking orders ?

@EtyDave I like your humongous sample size! Especially as it implies that none of your team (to your knowledge) has had the pleasure of trying them :p

Yeah, many others have tried them. I was just speaking for myself in this particular instance. :)

That's a really good question. We're targeting a March release, but I don't know if we're taking orders early or not. Usually they just sell when they are available.
