For those who have tested both, how does ER2SE compare with ER4SR (or ER4S), in terms of sound? Thanks in advance. @csglinux @JohnYang1997

In short er4s/sr is brighter and on the more neutral side in terms of tonality. Er2se is more balanced but tonality is slightly worse. Er2se actually benefits from stock foam tips which is quite surprising. And it's much less critical in terms of insertion depth. On the other hand er4s/sr you have to insert very deep to get flat extended high frequency reproduction.

I never had er3. But I assume it's in the middle or more towards er4 side.

Er4s/sr has more linear response after 2khz. er2se is a bit recessed between 4khz to 8khz. The sound is less natural this way.

These came with my new er4xr. They sound like the triple flanges and go in just as deep. They’re more comfortable for me so I’m very excited.

I got them with the ER2SE, but not the XR. To me they sound more similar to the foam tips, but I can get them in just as deep as the triple flange tips and can definitely feel that they seal better than the triples.

That’s interesting. The foam tips always sounded a tiny bit laid back to me. These don’t. I tried them on my ER4S too and felt the same way.

I recently joined the ER4XR club and want to replace the stock cable with a balanced one for my ES100.
Preferably, something that will provide a wider stage and a tad more low-end .
The following seems like good budget choices but none of them have the ety specific mmcx connector.
