Near the bottom the Lunashops posting says, Pls leave us the type you want, or else different type cable will be shipped out randomly, so perhaps that's their invitation to specify Type 2.

Can anyone shed some light on replacement cables?
Recently got a pair of ER4XR to use with my iBasso DX150, mostly for longer flights. Would love to be able to get a pair of 4.4mm cables for them!
Thanks in advance.
Also currently using the small/narrow Comply comfort foams and the bass seems to suffer a lot. I assume the trade off is because the material does not provide enough of a seal? If anyone have any suggestions for comfort/bass retention for smaller/narrower ear canals that would be greatly appreciated.

try this mod: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/if-...-thread-for-you.538615/page-777#post-14095442
so you can use your regular standard tips for your ER4XR. usually you can use the size below your normally used tips on the Ety with this mod because it goes deeper. i settled on double flanged tips as it give bass response without sacrificing the airy-ness (and without the discomfort of the triple flange)

Hi everyone, has anyone heard both the Etymotic ER3SR and ER4SR? I'm very curious how the two compare as there are very few online comparisons. Cheers!

Does anyone know if regular MM
Asked the same question re: replacement cables about a week ago without any luck. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.
Are all MMCX cables okay? Or is it a proprietary variant?

@EtyDave mentioned quite some time ago that Etymotic will (might?) provide a 2.5mm Balanced replacement. I hope it becomes true.Does anyone know if regular MM

The aftermarket Null Audio cable I've tried fit but don't have the notch lock to prevent the connectors from spinning around which can be annoying. This notch thing seems to be proprietary for ER4SR/XR.

what are everyone's thoughts on the er4sr vs er4s/pt? i'm in a dilemma since the er4s/pts are quite cheap nowadays brand new, around ~200. is it worth the price difference since the sr's are never below $350.

With the right gear, I actually prefer er4s (not er4pt). Enough power, and clean bass boost or eq. However, the newer models have a little more of a premium feel to them and an inherently smoother overall character in the sound.
