Medium skill level soldering wise, I've done them under an electronic microscope but you could probably get away with a magnified ring light, fine tip iron and a thin cored wire helps, you solder inside the head for the center pin + and to the barrel for the - . Connectors do fit nicely into the ety's though.
These 90 degree MMCX connector are tricky as the center pin is not very easy to get to, so you will need some experience on SMD level soldering with the relevant tools to do it.
My pair of ER2SE is finally on the way across the pond. Can't wait to listen to what they have to tell me, or more correctly, how. What kind of lube do I need for insertion again?
Hey everybody, just realised something. If you change filters to play with tuning, you can stop wasting them by simply grinding off the spike on the filter tool. Simply flatten it down completely until all you have is a flat end (like the end of a bolt)
Contrary to some discussions here, the tool doesn’t actually require poking through the filter to pull it out. It actually self-taps into the walls of the filter. It will still do this with easy and so if you don’t screw too far down (go no more than 2 threads) and slowly pull out as you wiggle side to side, you’ll keep the filter pad intact and the shape of the filter intact for multiple reuses
Someone knows if some ER4XR sold on eBay could be counterfeit?
I am asking because I am finding suspicious the price difference between Amazon UK (£325) and some eBay sellers (as low as $189). I have also learned to be careful when it is to cheap to be true on eBay.

Amazon UK can be very odd with the prices, I ended up getting mine from Amazon US as the 2SE were only £88 including import fees and the 4XR & 4SE were only £165 each. Who's the seller on eBay ?
