Hi, Sorry one follow up question:
I was looking at my computers specs its a recent machine from 2019 an asus zenbook it has a usb-c 3.1 gen 2 port that i dont use right now. Could I use this port with the micro idsd of course with a suitable cable to quickcharge and listen at the seem time?

Planning to buy this portable dac/amp end of next month but I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer:
1. I would like to charge it quickly with my computer and listen to music at the seem time. I found an usbchub (I have a spare usbc port on my laptop and this means that it does not need an external power supply for the hub) but that hub only charges on the usbc port that it carries.
Can I safely use an usba male (i suppose thats what the micro sues) to usb c male usb 3.0 cable to make this setup work?
And would I then be able to listen as well as charge at the seem time?
2. If I buy a unit now will it be preinstalled with the mqa firmware or will I have to do a firmware update?
3. I would like to connect it to my audioengine a5+ through rca. Does it have 2 rca sockets or do I need a mini to rca cable?

1. If that USB hub is capable can pass power to the product, it should work.
2. It should have MQA firmware installed.
3. You need a regular RCA cable to connect these speakers to iDSD BL.

Yes, you can use this port with a suitable cable to connect to micro iDSD BL.

1/ Just fully charged for the first time and you can use it as a Desktop DAC/Amp (I'm currently using it this way). And iirc, when set to Eco Mode, it will only need the power from the USB Port.
2/ Look at the Firmware on iFi website, a FW 5.2 can fully decoded MQA for some subtract in extra features that probably will never be used like DSD512 & Optical Out (more information on these in the iFi's homepage)
3/ RCA socket is typical RCA With 2 modes: Fixed or as a Pre-Amplifier.

It would be awesome if you incorporated a micro SD card slot on it like the Chord Poly. That is the ONLY thing Chord has on IFI in my opinion as your products are in a league of their own.

We're always looking into multiple things we can do, but from ton of ideas we have to cherry-pick though we take all your input here into account. Who knows, perhaps a streaming component will happen at some point.

So stoked to burn in my new Micro BL and finally test out the Galvanic while I to listen to some Pat Metheny.
