I'm planning to buy a Micro BL for my headphones and switch my current Nano BL to be a DAC for my computer speakers so can I ask that: Do computers recognize the Micro and the Nano as separate devices in the playback device (like there will be 2 Speakers (ifi (by AMR) HD + USB Audio)) or they will be combined as one (so that when I use the speaker on the Nano, the Micro will also play the music on the headphones).

They will be detected as separate devices.

I'm getting this annoying issue. I used my ifi as DAC/Amp daily and didn't experience any bugs. Today, I bought an external amp so I use the micro to feed its DAC to the Amp and I'm getting playback error like every 5-10', it pause my playing music and said in my foobar that this device cannot playback 44100 kHz or whatever frequency of the song I'm playing (Unrecoverable playback error: Sample rate of 48000 Hz not supported by this device). Then I play another song and every now and then, it suddenly stops my music, I'm currently set as Direct and Bit-Perfect, FW 5.3

Could be, but I've been using the USB with ifi only for the past week and found no problems, could it be that my ifi got overheat? I find it get really hot when using it with rca lineout.

That doesn't sound right. You do have it set to Eco mode? No need for anything higher when used as a DAC.

Has anyone used the iEMatch (High) with the power setting on normal for full-size headphones? It sounds like the consensus is that that the amp sounds best in normal power mode but I'm worried I'll run into issues with channel imbalance in normal mode. Just curious if there is any kind of quality hit when iEMatch is used with power settings other than Eco.

There is no sweet spot, all depends on headphones/IEMs. I'd say that you should use whatever works for you and grants operable volume range.

Hello Everyone,
Planning to buy this portable dac/amp end of next month but I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer:
1. I would like to charge it quickly with my computer and listen to music at the seem time. I found an usbchub (I have a spare usbc port on my laptop and this means that it does not need an external power supply for the hub) but that hub only charges on the usbc port that it carries.
Can I safely use an usba male (i suppose thats what the micro sues) to usb c male usb 3.0 cable to make this setup work?
And would I then be able to listen as well as charge at the seem time?
2. If I buy a unit now will it be preinstalled with the mqa firmware or will I have to do a firmware update?
3. I would like to connect it to my audioengine a5+ through rca. Does it have 2 rca sockets or do I need a mini to rca cable?
Thanks in advance for any info/clarifications.
Greetings, Anouk,
