New Head-Fier
Hi. Does anyone know where can I buy the wide bore grey tips (size large) that come with the IT01?
I don't want to use them on the IT01Hi. Does anyone know where can I buy the wide bore grey tips (size large) that come with the IT01?
Yeah, I've looked with no avail. Hard to find.I recommend Creative HS930i tips if You can find. They are ultra-wide-bore and sound best with IT01 imho.
Still no updates for the IT01s, @Paul - iBasso?
To those who are seeing this first time, there will be a newer version of the IT01 with a different tuning due to the updated driver design. I'm not sure if this is just a prototype or already an official version. Photo credit to iBasso Audio's Facebook page. Here are Paul's exact words about it:
"The metal looking IT01s is a different driver of our own design. Less V than the IT01 and excellent bass reproduction due to a totally different driver design and material."
Let's hope we get more news about this upgraded version soon.

So based on wider the better, I tried the largest bore silicone stock tips today again. I don't remember liking them at first, but after 50 or so hours on the IT01, now I totally prefer them. Must have been that recommended burn in. Thanks for the tip (pun intended.) Also, can't wait to see what 100 hours will do.
I use the stock largest silicone wide bore. They're great. I've tried all the other tips that come with the IT01, and for me, not a single pair, foam or silicone, come close to the wide bore for fullness of sound particularly the bass. There's real weight and punchiness to the sound. All the other tips to my ears sound a bit thin. I know everyone's ears are different but I'd have thought everyone would find wide bores the best, whether they be the small, medium or large.
How can I check if my DAC/AMP is capable of taking advantage of balanced cables?
Tell us what you have. You should be able to see if there is a balanced jack on it. There are different types depending if you are talking about a desktop amp or a portable. Never plug something into the wrong jack.
