I recommend Creative HS930i tips if You can find. They are ultra-wide-bore and sound best with IT01 imho.

Still no updates for the IT01s, @Paul - iBasso?

To those who are seeing this first time, there will be a newer version of the IT01 with a different tuning due to the updated driver design. I'm not sure if this is just a prototype or already an official version. Photo credit to iBasso Audio's Facebook page. Here are Paul's exact words about it:

"The metal looking IT01s is a different driver of our own design. Less V than the IT01 and excellent bass reproduction due to a totally different driver design and material."

Let's hope we get more news about this upgraded version soon.

I really wonder what they did with it and how it compares with my modded IT01 ;P
Also hope price will stay same.
As we can see on pic - it`s called IT01s

So based on wider the better, I tried the largest bore silicone stock tips today again. I don't remember liking them at first, but after 50 or so hours on the IT01, now I totally prefer them. Must have been that recommended burn in. Thanks for the tip (pun intended.) Also, can't wait to see what 100 hours will do.

I use the stock largest silicone wide bore. They're great. I've tried all the other tips that come with the IT01, and for me, not a single pair, foam or silicone, come close to the wide bore for fullness of sound particularly the bass. There's real weight and punchiness to the sound. All the other tips to my ears sound a bit thin. I know everyone's ears are different but I'd have thought everyone would find wide bores the best, whether they be the small, medium or large.

I can't vouch for the widest bore for fullness and soundstage, but mine had a sort of openness when I first got them with me in a flight. Maybe some glue/driver or something got relieved due to the pressure difference, I just heard a wider and more fuller sound while listening to a song, and found it to be weird. After that, they just now continue to sound like that. They were 400+hrs burned in at the time.

How can I check if my DAC/AMP is capable of taking advantage of balanced cables?

Tell us what you have. You should be able to see if there is a balanced jack on it. There are different types depending if you are talking about a desktop amp or a portable. Never plug something into the wrong jack.

Sorry, yeah that would probably help wouldn't it.... Topping D10 DAC into Magni 3.
