If anything, good IEMs will make you seek out better source material. I find myself listening to quite a bit of music that honestly isn't my style, just because it's recorded well. Fleetwood Mac is a good example. I still can't bring myself to listen to jazz...

That being said I think the v shaped sound profile tends to be more forgiving of bad source material than a more neutral or mid focused tuning.
I would suggest the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack discs. They opened my mind up to a different kind of jazz, and there is a variety of styles of music on them so you don't get tired of anything.
Still absolutely loving my IT01, head and shoulders above any iems I own.

Its a matter of difference u know I cant find all recordings at high quality ... most of them yes but some not.. and live concerts .. give me better vibe.. thats why I wanted to use ibasso it01 .. thought it will make a big difference imho .. but I think difference is not much ... thanks for advice again
Buy them from amazon or somewhere that has a return policy if you are worried about liking them. I listen to them 6 to 8 hours a day without fatigue. Every genre rock jazz edm all sound dynamic detailed spacious and airy from my DAPs phones and laptop, high resolution files and even Spotify over Bluetooth sound musical and engaging.
I listen to music now I've never given a second thought to and used to skip over my whole life just because it sounds so good with the IT01s. Good luck

This whole does this beat this or that. Zaza. If you buy these and don't like them. I am willing to guarantee you can sell them for almost the same price you bought them for. So nothing lost. The cable itself is probably worth half the price paid for these. Try them out for yourself. The IT01 in my mind represents one of the best bang for dollar iems you can buy right now for the money. This is coming from a guy that has or owned too many iems to admit. Take that for what it's worth. What one guy says is better over the IT01 or visa versa is all subjective meaning it is based on what they like in a sound.

The IT01 isn't the end of all earphones or sound for that matter but what they do well is let you enjoy your music with a nice window to hi fidelity for the price. I can't say that about a lot of sub $100 to $200 eaphones I have tried. Give them a go I am gonna doubt your gonna be disappointed and then the off chance that you don't. Sell them off, upwards and onwards!

Isolation is good, leakage should not be an issue.
Second that... and

...that.

I have also owned many chi-fi budget IEMs and many of them arent even close to IT01. The closest have been ZS5v1.
All that money "wasted" with all those IEMs could have been spent on IT01. They are definitely worth a try out!

I honestly feel like if you're on head fi you're unlikely to find something that straight up sucks like you could have 15 years ago.

It01= great
TFZ king pro or tequila= great
Brainwavz b400= great
Nuforce EDC=good

If I had no frame of reference i'd be very happy with any one of them.

Seriously, it's like being at a fashion show and judging the models, who are all 10 out of 10s, but still different (your want to look at them all regardless of how attractive the last one was).

Listening to the b400 right now and they're totally different than the it01 but are awesome. Honestly, I think your very unlikely to go wrong, and if you somehow do, just resell or return. This stuff is great.

I just noticed you have the Aune T1, have you listened to the IT01s with it yet? I want to pick up a tube amp for late night listening in bed and haven't heard any impressions of the IT01s powered by tubes yet.

So I just received the iT01 today and found that one side of the cable is broken, so I can only hear through one of the IEM. Are there any good and cheap alternative cables I could buy? Not sure if I want to ask for a replacement cable since I go it shipped to Canada and paying for overseas shipment again doesn't seem worth it.

Of course you should get a replacement and you should not have to pay anything. If you show a picture of the broken cable I would think you would not even have to send it back.

guys does the ibasso it01 beat lz a4, shockwave III, and magaosi k3 pro and sennheiser ie80 what do you guys think ?

There are certain IEMs that are a premium just because of established reputation/brand, but in general, with well-reviewed products, you'll get what you paid for. The LZ A4 and the Shockwave III, I would imagine, are a step above the IT01; they've been top of the line bang for the buck players in the field for a while now, and in a higher price range, so it's logical they'd sound better. IE80 is hit-and-miss, but are probably also, in general, better than the IT01, though it can be subjective, then. The K3 Pro are far more comparable, and I'd choose the IT01 over them, there was a huge hype wave for them last year about this time but I wasn't sold because it seemed like everyone really only compared them to similar hyped Chi-Fi products, and would rave about them on head-fi without many external publications picking up on them. What sold me on the IT01 personally was a great review on THL, and headfonics also recently published a very positive review on them - it seems they stand on their own, without the chinese IEM hype threads like these are famous for. But when I get them, I'm eager to compare them to the RHA MA750, one of the best IEMs I've owned, and another product that has the reputation of "punching way above its price" (boy is that phrase fast losing it's weight). You should consider them, too, in this price range; compared to my last chinese IEMs, the TK12, they were far more natural sounding, and the bass was a lot tighter, as well.

Contact the vendor you bought it from and and have them replaced and if they don't take care of you contact ibasso and I'm sure they will they are brand new. You can try an aftermarket cable if you want but living in Canada myself I know you're going to spend as much for a comparable cable here as ibasso included with the IT01s.
