I don't know if this is a bit presumptuous of me, but if the main use of your IEMs will be low quality live footage on Youtube and old recordings in general, you don't have to spend $100 on IEMs. Yes, I know in the grand scheme of audio pricing, $100 is not that much, but I venture to guess you'll be really happy with a $20 pair to listen to concerts on youtube on. Just a friendly suggestion if you want to invest your hard earned cash on something you'll find a better use for!

Edit: eh after rethinking it it really doesn't matter much. Good IEMs are good to have anyway :)

If anything, good IEMs will make you seek out better source material. I find myself listening to quite a bit of music that honestly isn't my style, just because it's recorded well. Fleetwood Mac is a good example. I still can't bring myself to listen to jazz...

That being said I think the v shaped sound profile tends to be more forgiving of bad source material than a more neutral or mid focused tuning.

May I offer Oregon or Pat Methany as gateway artists to give a try if you want to dip into trying jazz again.
I've been listening to gogo penguin lately and am a big fan of the mercury program but that's as close as I can get myself.... If you know of something else similar, I'm definitely open to suggestion. Based on the description, Oregon sounds like they're worth a shot so I'll take a listen. Thanks.

Guys.... had a brief listen again with my IT01... something is happening(has happened)...
Yesterday I decided to "push" them little more and left them playing @ high gain with my modified DX50 (~3.1V/80mA per channel) @ my normal listening level.
I know these will suck-out only around 10mA according to iBasso specs but it helped to make them noticeably more balanced. Difference is noticeable and I haven`t experienced
such sudden change before. I wonder if tiny fat trolls stopped dancing on membrane or some glue piece stopped blocking membrane working or what the heck is happening with these...
They sound much closer now to ZS5v1, which I like.
Will leave them playing till monday, then probably start using.

Portico Quartet, the Bad Plus, Snarky Puppy, Anouar Brahem, Renaud Garcia-Fons...and sample ECM Records' YouTube Channel.

I wouldn't say these have the most profound burn in period I've ever heard (that honor goes to my akg 501k, far and away) but it's pretty clear and obvious, much more so than even my other similar dynamic drivers that are graphene.

I wonder if that's due to the high magnetic flux value and it takes some time to get settled... These would be a good set to make a believer out of burn in athiests.

Seriously though, don't judge these until at least 150 hours, I heard several different tonalities up until about that point.

I do believe in burn in but this case might be a very good example for those that don't if it ends up showing on frequency graphs. Would be a nice thing if someone tried this, maybe even an official before/after from iBasso.

I'm not sure why you would chose this manner of media in the first place? There are tons of places to get these recordings in higher quality. We're talking about a $99 IEM here, not a $3600 pair of Tia Forte's...lol. For it's price range, they sound great. Here's a link to one of their best live shows ever...it's $14 that you won't regret spending....

Its a matter of difference u know I cant find all recordings at high quality ... most of them yes but some not.. and live concerts .. give me better vibe.. thats why I wanted to use ibasso it01 .. thought it will make a big difference imho .. but I think difference is not much ... thanks for advice again
