Try these:

INSIDE of large silicone tips.
Fantastic fit, isolation + no mid and high frequency issues typical for foam tips.
Those are the style of foamies that don't have the inner silicone tube to fit around the nozzle. I've seen complaints that they tear more easily than the style which has the nozzle sleeve. Personally I've found that they have more of a tendency to stay behind in my ear canals so haven't used them enough to make any comment on longevity.

I insert the drivers at an angle, tilting them towards the back of the ear. I then do a final seating in my ear and I don't get any flex. If I push straight in I get some flex. I make a practice of using the angle method and don't have any issues.
I tried it but despite less driver flex happening, I still get it with right earpiece ;( I have had such issue only with 1 IEM in past. I can use my ZS5v1 in/out 100 times in row and no driver flex, no matter what tips.
I`m actually more disappointed about driver flex rather than sound signature. It just is annoying to me. And the thing is, I don`t bother to deal with sending it back to Penon for replacement.

Hi guys, if anyone is interested, I've just published a long-overdue review of the IT03!
https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/ibasso-it03.21824/reviews
For those who've been loving the IT01 (which certainly includes myself!), I'd rate the IT03 as a terrific 'next step up' in one's audiophile journey, or as a cheaper, but excellent every day carry kind of IEM for those already happily residing in TOTL fantasy land :D

Weird, I've always attributed it more to my stupid left ear canal than the driver or tips. I get my pair of brainwavz b400 soon so I'll see if I still get it with all BA drivers, I honestly can't imagine not having it with any pair of IEMs and definitely have it with my er4p regardless of the ba in them.... Maybe I'm hearing the housing flex rather than the driver, or my ear is messed up.... Getting older is weird.

Well I only have 5 hours or so on these. But I must say I do understand the positive reaction. This is a very balanced and smooth sound. I have mainly been listening to the Cayin N5II and the FLC8S. Tonight I decided to bring out the trusty Shanling M2S with the IT01. Playing Genesis "A Trick of the Tail" and the sound seems balanced and full. With regard to the genesis, its the definitive edition mix from 94 or so and definitely not the mix from 2007 or so.

Awesome, can you maybe take a listen to something from Selling England by the Pound if you have it? Maybe Firth of Fifth, which has those sections with slamming sub-bass and panned guitar plucking happening at the same time, but also a piano solo and generally a bass workout. Just wanted to ask since you mentioned some classic Genesis there, and I often use this track for testing audio gear and stuff :)

Could anyone with the IT01 quickly measure the nozzle diameter?
I'm thinking about buying a pair. Unfortunately i have quite narrow ear canals and the KZ ZSTs nozzles are the upper limit i can tolerate.
I have small ears and ear-canals. No problems with S size tips and deep fit.

I think our (and many others) understanding of balanced differs as I definitely do not find them VERY balanced - bass and especially sub-bass are dominating the sound signature of these.
I could say fairly balanced at most. Compared to ZS5v1, EDR1/2, ZST, these are clear L or U shaped "fun" signature. Heck, even my desk setup with Fidelio X1 doesn`t sound nowhere close to and so "bass" prominent.
Note that I`m not saying these are "bass cannons" / boomy / messy in bass department, no, they just have very prominent dominating bass (mainly sub-bass).
This is of course after about 50h playtime and with wide bore tips and may change but atm they are little "bass-dominant" for my taste. They are fun, detailed and great though.
I don`t listen them constantly atm, just had brief listen again after reading "very balanced" - they aren`t imo. That isn`t bad thing though.

It seemed like my pair took forever to get beyond an obvious U or V shaped signature with first the highs coming out then finally the midrange moving forward. I like how smooth they sound but even now I'd never say balanced. There's a definite sub-bass and bass bias to the sound.

If its the nature of this ultra high magnetic flux with specialized diaphragm to need so many hours of burn-in it seems like the manufacturer is doing a disservice to the customer by requiring that you have to wait 8 days after your purchase to actually use it. OTOH it seems just as bad to say that the manufacturer should be plugging in the finished product for the same amount of time before packaging and selling. Is this problem just because the technology and usage for music just so new that this will be overcome in newer products? Apologies for the use of disservice, it has too strong a negative connotation but I'm unsure of a better descriptive term. And I do mean it'd be just as wrong to think 200 hours of burn-in should be the manufacturer's job. I really like how my IT01 sounds. I just think what's required to get to that point sound-wise seems excessive.

What I also noticed with brief listen is that highs aren`t so "bright" anymore - I mean they were not harsh, sibilant or splashy before, rather just like bass I described before (little too prominent).
That is positive note. I hope bass will also "tame down" soon, otherwise, I think I need to sell them or start modifing them.
