iBasso IT00 and AM05 Two very different IEMs with one purpose, to Enjoy the Music!

Anyone compare the IT01S to the IT00 ? Happy owner of the IT01S. IT00 is tempting though.
To sum it up briefly, the IT01S is more balanced sounding with bigger stage, more forward midrange and improved clarity. Given the price difference, no surprise that the IT01S is much better than IT00.

Yeah I have zero skin in this game, this is the first ibasso IEM I've ever purchased, and I've tested extensively with every IEM I have available from a range of different prices. The honeymoon period is over, the IT00s are just ridiculously good for the price. I'd take them over almost everything I've heard up to $300. They don't beat out the Sony IER M9s, but honestly I haven't heard really anything that does to my ears (obviously sound is subjective) and the M9s are like $1k more than the IT00s. I'll be getting the Meze Rai Pentas in early next week so will do some more testing with the IT00s then, but at this point there's no doubt to me that they are undeniably really damn good.

I like the IT01s but against a burned in IT00, I don't agree with you. They are different but I don't think the IT01s is "much" better though they are exceptional. They are pretty though. :^)

Definitely, this is a game changing IEM at its price point. This is precisely why I rate it so highly and given how many audiophiles like it, I guess my recommendation is good. :p

I can only recommend what I feel is good. That's why I didn't rate the Starfield & T4 at all as I don't really like the sound.

I feel that the IT01S is better but anyway, we are talking about 2 IEMs that excel at their respective price points and they are no-brainer. Cheers.

I would be surprised if that YouTube reviewer doesn’t like the IT00. I mean didn’t he praised the heck out of the Thieaudio L3? For me, IT00 sounds similar to the L3 and they trade blows in technicality and tonality.

IT00 is also clear step up from the BLONs.

Well it seems my comment ruffled quite a few feathers... Yes folks, there is shilling on Head-Fi, go figure. It's not like brands have an invested interest in selling their products, right?

Back to the IT00, if it turns out to be all that it has been made to look, I'll easily buy a pair and use them to replace the Blon 03 as my new beaters.

Lol yeah man that's totally fair. Just seemed like a weird comment since I didn't see anyone on here being like you need to buy these things, mostly just people saying they were happy with their own purchase. But all good, always good to be careful of that stuff.

Would someone in the know care to make a comparison between the IT00 and IT03?
I bought the latter from Amazon Warehouse a few weeks ago and, notwithstanding a few fit issues, I've been pretty happy with them.
Ive already pre-ordered the IT00 but was just wondering if they would make a good complement to the IT03...

I have often seen graphs that are similar but the IEMs sound totally different. Graphs measure, in effect, quantities, but qualities....materials, metals, shape of unit, tips, cables, blah, blah etc etc determine the qualities. They are impossible to measure at this moment in time.

I have not said that they have the same qualities, but the similar FR mean that they may share similar tone & sound sign, this is undeniable

I had several se215's over the years and they sound nothing like the it00.

Above graph is from SE215 ltd, not the original SE215

The IT00 is simply superior to the SE215. Period.

Yeah. :smirk:

Ah my bad. Never picked up the Ltd version. Are they that different from the standard?

Full steam ahead!
Glad my order is in. Not sure what I'm expecting from these but will be a good point of reference for comparisons now everyone is going to buy them.

The hype train is going to really roll now.
