iBasso IT00 and AM05 Two very different IEMs with one purpose, to Enjoy the Music!

Has everyone who has the IT00 gotten driver flex from it? Isnt driver flex more due to the shape of your ears rather than something with the iem itself?
I don't hear any driver flex....but I'm an oldie. I must agree these are the purest IEMs I have ever heard. They turn music into what it should be....food for the heart.

Are you inserting them at a bit of an angle so that any pressure passes by the tip before finally seating them in your ear? I get no flex at all.

If I am pulling my ear and insert it slowly at an angle then yes no driver flex. I am too excited to hear them so sometimes forget the above procedure and shove it in without thinking => crackling driver flex

Also I am using Azla sednaearfits that seals extremely well. More pressure is built before they can escape through tiny vent hole => driver flex

Driver flex is usually due to a too tight seal, and is partially related to the tips we use and/or our ear anatomy, maybe sometimes it occurs in certain IEM shell designs with insufficient venting. I found a few ways to mitigate it, YMMV:

1) Use foam tips instead of silicone tips, works sometimes for me. Probably cause the foam is porous and lets air escape thru the foams rather than going into the IEM shell.

2) Sometimes using another silicone tip that has lesser isolation/seal may reduce driver flex, though at the expense of isolation. Try a variety of different ear tips and sizes if you can, some tips give more driver flex than others.

3) Try opening your mouth and pulling down the earlobe before inserting the IEM, this opens the ear canal a bit for more space to insert the eartip, and hopefully some air can escape during insertion with the bigger diameter of the ear canal.

4) Insert the ear tip slowly or not too deeply initially, and slowly make fine adjustments to push it in.

Hype is going to get even higher or it might burn depending on what he says lol.

I’m hoping for a good, but even keeled review. There‘s already plenty of hype surrounding them, brought about by several different legitimate purchasers. I’d prefer the wave to continue as is. I honestly don’t think even BGGAR can stop the current excitement about it.

I think the only thing that could get in the way of the quality sound of the it00 is QC, and I don't think (hope) that will be an issue. With many IEMs it is taste but with these it's more empirical.....there is something magical. The Messi and Ronaldo of IEMs. I don't know how they use the 'Graphene' on the driver, but their recipe should be a guarded secret. Is it 'luck' or 'genius'? With the Blon 03, which are 'great', I think it was luck. With these iBasso it00s I think it is genius. @Paul - iBasso you have a talent in your company.

Yeah, I'm also hoping to see what he says about them. So far I've seen a lot of shilling on this thread, so I'm taking most of the current feedback with a pinch of salt.

I don't trust what he says, good or bad because I have seen him tear down very good equipment. It seems it is more about attention than anything else. And I have seen a number of people who have bought the IT00 with very good comments so the shill part is unwarranted.

1) I will try that next. Thanks for the suggestion.
2) Yes, I get less driver flex crackle with SpiralDots than Azla Sednas.
3) Another thing I should try.
4) Yes, slow insertion prevents flex in my case, too.

I am also one of those weird people who can move their ears and this widens the entrance to my ear canal, so if I move my ear back, insert the ear tip carefully and then relax the ear again the canal seals around the ear tip, thus preventing driver flex. I also only get it on the right side for some reason, where my ear canal is actually slightly wider.

There's always a lot of good comments on anything that is mildly decent and doesn't cost an arm and a leg, those were not the comments I was referring to.

Regarding BGGAR, at least he is consistent, he likes what he likes and he dislikes what he dislikes.

As far as we know right now, all the users (consumers, paid with their own money) of the IT00 likes it a lot. So I wouldnt call anyone shillers on this one.

I would disagree with you on his consistency. I have seen him praise a product and then tear it apart. He changes his mind, can say great things and then berates it later. That is not consistency, well it is or sorts. lol but I end with this as I am not going to derail this thread.

Except for one pro reviewer in This thread, the feedback is from owners. So maybe some honeymoon related hype. But I would take the consensus of this thread, over that of Beggar. As the iBasso iT00 isn’t sold on Linsoul (Strike one) and it’s a DD only (Strike two, for anyone who isn't open to the possibility of burn/break in)
