I posted this a couple pages previously, the EX is very close to a good 2A3 amplifier. The W mod brings more authority, dynamic, separations and staging, where as the EX would have all that with more fluidity and engaging emotions.
disclaimer: these are audio performances subjects, and so it is highly subjective. Some people would call that it is only different, and that is exactly what it is, just different, but IME/references, those are the observations
Yes, somewhat, not significant, as the LO buffers still are using the power supply, and both the W/EX mods do tweak the Power supply a bit. However, the LO still remains neutral as stock, with a little more liquidity (EX) and micro dynamics (W&EX)
Sorry if this is unrelated but for those of you who use UAPP on the iBasso DX300, have you all experienced DSD playback/MQA playback issues on the DX300 specifically? Are the DX300 internal DACs properly recognized by UAPP as MQA decoders?

That reminded me that I should install the UAPP on Dx300 and see if it helps anything. However, I still enjoy the MangoOS ways too much to lift a finger lol

Thanks, I just love how you an add 3 different groups of sorting types on the "Favorites" tab of UAPP, particularly my favorite albums, not many players have that feature.
And it has replay gain and MQA core decoder but it seems this app has to be compatible with the DAP's internal hardware and some devices aren't fully supported fully with UAPP.
When I had the iBasso DX300 several months ago, the mango app had an issue where album art was blurry all of a sudden whereas the mango player displayed them just fine. The problem with the mango OS was the navigation in album display list where if you had tons of albums on your sd card, the scrolling gesture would scroll way too fast, everything felt so buggy. iBasso should of at least added an alphabet letter display from A-Z so you could zoom to the album name with the first letter.
Didnt use Mango OS for a very long time due to the very poor directory management (going back from a current folder to the main folder, always scrolled to the beginning of the main folder).
Today listened on the Mango OS and surprise!! IBasso fixed this issue! WOW, thank you! Always loved the sound on the Mango OS and now i can finally enjoy it Only the digital battery discharges faster than on the Android mode but nothing can be perfect.

hahaha.. I remembered was only wide soundstage if pairing with VO... yet with VC was a bit better, especially in staging and depth, but not as wide as VO...
Seems mod will be the next step.. hahaha..
edit : update, VC direct to DX312 is more black background then using stack D312-BX2plus... Even I just realize that, BX2plus is not as clean when pairing with VC.. hehehe nice finding..

I think that soon there may be a new upgraded model like "dx320 or dx340" with a new Sabre dual or quad DAC and better design so I will choose to wait a little
