Anyone using UAPP 5.9.9.5 on the DX300 with Tidal?

It seems to work fine, but I suspect it isn't properly decoding Tidal MQA files: sampling rate detected by the DX300 is only 44.1 or 48 (i.e. UAPP shows direct as one of those, and the status bar also shows one of those).

It's very interesting though: my (1 hour) sound quality testing is inconclusive. I focussed mostly on a few 16bit MQA files (from Tidal), as theoretically that should be the biggest difference - but it doesn't sound particularly different/worse/better comparing between UAPP/Tidal native.

Might be just me haha...

Some shots for DX300 MKI paired with C9.

The MKii has a better line out performances than MKI. It is mainly with better textures, and more balances overall. However, the imagings and placements are still not as well defined as can be when compared to A02. The density and bass is great though.

I cant wait for a dedicated LO module , now that it shows potentials

Pictures to show the bare foot Dx300 is perfect fit ontop of C9. Except that when flip around, the Dx300 will be standing on it screens. Recommend to have some towels or rubber mat underneath, otherwise use the case

This Interconnect is also with Ground connected and shielded, but by the nature’s of MKII Amp11, the ground isn’t connected internally.

Almost a perfect fit that it can stand upright as pictured

Yep, Meze peeps paired it themselves.

The DX300 is super clean, we used the 3.5 as line out...
(All were excited, no one brought out a proper ic, lols)

Has anyone experienced sudden shut off when during playback? I have this issue twice when playing Tidal. The battery for digital circuit was over 40% when it happened.

I needed to long press the power button to hard restart the device to turn it back on.

It sounds like something overheated.

I can't deny, it's been blinking on my radar for a while now!
But I'm in a phase of trying to save money right now, so new purchases are (probably) not happening for a while.
I got the EE Odin a while ago, but sold it recently for the cash.
Miss that IEM already but I'm very fortunate to have been sent the MEST Mk II to review, so I'm not crying into my coffee quite yet :p

Looking forward to comparing the original MEST and the Mk II.
I have a feeling that one might sound better on the DX220MAX, and the other might sound better on the DX300.
Pure speculation at this point, I admit, but let's see.. :)
just got the MEST MKII, please let us know your findings regarding synergy with MAX vs DX300 - my MAX is still on repair, so I am listening with L&P W2 dongle in the meantime.
I am struggling between DX300 and M8 currently for a mobile TOTL DAP to be paired with MEST MKII (and my Denon AH-D9200 while walking around in the house).
Thx!

Look like a DIY project that dye the stock blue cases to black
Strangely, kinda missing using my stock blue case, even though the aftermarket silicone case that my DX300 is exclusively traveling in these days is makes me feel so much more secure! The stock case leaves so much open and doesn’t fit that securely at all, but it is nice to the eye and touch.

I find the silicone case nice and secure with no slipping like the stock case. I also like not having the side buttons easily pushed by accident like happens a lot with stock case.

Where is this case from?!?!
It is the stock one I painted with black leather sprey paint for leather.
And to secure a better fit I used the black electrical tape to thicken interior left and right case walls.

It's perfect now. I would advise anyone interested to go for it.
Just buy a good leather sprey paint .

I've never had any problems with moon audio... But this one... Their stock indicator has got me perplexed 😕

Ordered 2 weeks ago (stock was showing incoming on the 2nd). 2nd came and changed to 'In Stock' ... Still no shipment out. Now it shows 'Expected April 9th'.

Still hasn't shipped. Guess I wouldn't mind if it just said something like preorder a month out or something. But I guess I was expecting to see a shipping notice by now.

Alas. stupid global shortages lol
