It's the android stack and subsequent resampling that I was referring to. Would be great to see Roon output according to the source bitrate without resampling.

Could it be that they are doing it on purpose to enforce "Roon Ready" certificate, so thattheycan cash money from iBasso?

Also UAPP needs to start supporting DSD playback on DX300 asap. Mango App drives me nuts sometimes.

Try Neutron. Its brilliant.

I do prefer neutron to UAPP on my side.

Neutron for local playback. But streaming Qobuz sounds best through UAPP.

In terms of price/performance is suggest upgrading your headphones before going for the dx300...

I would tend to advise the opposite. Source first. Headphones can never add back what a poor source omits. So focus on getting the DAP that best suits your ears and your bank account. Then move onto better and better headphones. My Shanling AE3s ($169) sound phenomenal on my dx300.

I should be getting my player by the 18th. Been having fun reading you guys thread. Not a big burn in guy but I will try to burn it in for about 50 hrs before passing a judgment. By far the most expensive player that I have bought so far.

Do you think that your shanling AE3s out of dx300 sounds better than say a shanling ME700 plus.. some usd 650 player?

(DX300 list price 1199 minus ME700 list price of 549 is 650).

For any Andromeda users, at least the 2020 version pairs really well with the DX300. I prefer the pairing of DX300 + Andromeda 2020 over Shanling M8 + Andromeda 2020
