Either way that's a positive point of view you have on it, I still think it was a crummy way to launch without providing visibility as to what the options for purchase might be, even if best-case is their performance is equal with different flavors (I would still like to choose my flavor).

At the same time I'm not going to stay angry about it, just decreased my opinion of iBasso as a brand and make me take a harder look at comparable products from other competitors. Is what it is.

Also I'm looking forward to just getting it finally or at least get some final specs while we wait!!

I've reached out to Zeppelin and Co to see if they would be able to share, if they do I can post here as well.

Basically how I feel. Just feel like I’ve lost some respect for iBasso.

If I had option to choose a "flavor", it would be based on how the unit originally sounds. Sometimes modding a unit takes it away from neutrality, rather than improving it, so I would be careful to choose.

Yep, and that's precisely the point, that would be your flavor.

To put it more plainly if one was slightly more neutral while the other was slightly more natural (using these terms in their most basic and stereotypical way without getting into what one considers neutral vs natural) I'd prefer the latter for my tastes

I think you just "hit the nail on the head" with that highly likely guess of difference. A "tinge" of "natural".

So it does seem like iBasso tunned those units for dedicating to their own (china) market.
Maybe that's why they didn't feel a need for disclosure, but as mentioned before, non-disclosure is a usual thing with them.
Not the best (Public relations) move, but at least we can move on with some understanding.

Yeah sounds about right. Same news here in Singapore. No sale of Ti version… at least not through the official channels. Pricing in China also will only be revealed closer to Sept.

Paul already mentioned it that Titanium version is available exclusively through Ibasso only. That doesn’t mean it is exclusively for China but, logically you can think of it that way since Ibasso is originated and based in China. I have shopped my DX200Ti through Ibasso previously, and I believe that Ibasso will ship it globally. All you need is an email inquiry toward Ibasso and Paul for a date of Preorder opening.
The things is that since shipping is much restricted with all the Covid stuff and batteries, you will have some troubles if defects happened. I know Ibasso would take care of it right away, but your shipping fees may be expensive, so that is something to think about.

While the regular Dx300Max is at your dealer, you are covered better

But then again, I always trust in Ibasso products. Knock on woods! I modified and always bought directly, there were not any defects that bothered me. Perhaps only once, where the mistakes was my side, that I tried using glass screen protector on Dx300 and the substances overtime’s leaked into the screen and rendered it ugly. Ibasso still sent a replacement when mine was shipped and received by Ibasso warehouse. Better yet, the replacement was sent DHL express. All I did was paying out of pocket for shipment back to Ibasso

So, with all that said, I would be very comfortable to order Dx300Ti directly from Ibasso, and I don’t think it is Exclusive to China. Your local dealer can’t have that, doesn’t mean you can’t buy direct
