Just played with this at the DC meet.  Needless to say, it's on my short list.  I would like to pair this with the Sigature Pros.  Any impressions on this paring?

This one was brand new as of a few days age.  He also said there was a newer firmware that was available.

I paired  DX100 with earsonics EM4, it seems the mids "buried" between highs and the low sounds, is there any music apps that would makes DX100 mids more forward and thicker?

What firmware are you using? Try revert to 1.1.7 and see if that helps. I found the bass to be bloated and treble to be artificially boosted on 1.2.3.

The latest firwmare 1.2.7 is even better than 1.1.7 based on other user.
i got my unit in 1.2.3, the difference is audible on the upgrade

No, the one I borrowed didn't look good enough to put in a review! What did you do to it? This one is mine. I'm surprised myself that I fell in love as you know, I'm a first gen iPod shuffle kind of guy.
