Any more news on when the downloadable manual will be available?

According to iBasso, as soon as possible. They have a lot on their plate at the present time, especially considering that they are a very small company.

I don't see it as an issue to be honest. The reason android is implemented is to give you more features in a stable package. Otherwise you'd be limited to their own software and generally speaking, Chinese DAPs have horrible UI's until just recently.

Keep in mind I'm going from memory on this so YMWV. From what I can tell the sound stage is smaller, bass appears to have a bit more quantity. Until I get them refitted I'm not sure if anything else may change. All I can say is they isolate very well. I could barely hear my AC with them in and that's with no music playing. I'm looking forward to being able to wear them comfortably for extended periods of time :p

Indeed. The reason I haven't bought a Chinese DAP since the S:Flo2 (which I loved the sound of) is simply because the user experience was horrible. I know everyone bangs on about sound being the most important thing, but for me the enjoyment factor is ruined if I have to fight with the thing to get it to do what I want. I don't want to have to rename every music file I have so things are listed alphabetically, or only browse a certain way to see things in order. The joy of finally having a high end player with Android is you have the UI taken care of by a multi-billion dollar company, it's well-supported, and as well as playing your music you've got all the app-added functionality like internet radio, it's really set the bar as an alternative to the iOS device + portable DAC/amp set up.

Best
Monday
Ever.

Like I posted earlier, I emailed Ibasso to ask when they would start taking pre-orders for the 3rd batch of DX100...

Their reply: "Somebody cancelled their DX100 reservation, would you like to buy one now?"

So as of right now I'm frantically raising the cash for a DX100 that should ship out to me in about two weeks from now.
