When i started this thread i was running through i few ideas of where to spend my money. I had my eyes on an iphone or a new set of cans. I figured i needed a phone more then a new set of cans so i went with the iphone. I will get the srh940 now that i got the phone out of the way. After that purchase i am saving money to buy christmas presents for my family. I am actually in the process fo writting a professional review of my iphone for which i will post on head-fi. I am currently uploading a few youtube videos for it.

Ya i am pretty poor. I make $1400 a month working part time at a grocery store. I am going to college so i can get a better job. Of that $1400 about $700 goes to my rent which includes cable, internet, and power. I will spend $200 on food. So that leaves me with $500 of which $60 goes towards my iphone, and $50 goes towards transportation. Leaving me with $390 a month to what i please with.
 
After i get the srh940s that $390 will be for christmas.

like a previous poster said, try to get a pair of Denon D2000s. I swear you will not regret it one bit.

Yeah, make sure you can return them. Seem to be some love it or hate it headphones.

Consider gently used as well to help with budget. I got DT880/600's off Amazon (like new) for 199.99 and HD650's (one month old) from a head-Fi user for $300 shipped.

I want to try the DT1350. I wouldn't break the bank myself, and would definitely take the KNS8400 before anything else. But I don't really listen to metal, so I dunno...
