I might, just might, wear my HD600's outside. They aren't as bad as cd3000's though. If you wore those, people would probably take one look at you, and run away screaming "HELP! THERE'S AN ALIEN!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

hajime, couldn't you just hook the driver up to a portable cd player?

I could, but the driver has to be plugged in to a wall jack to work.

Guys....

You don't actually have to have the Stax's or K1000's plugged in - you just need to have them on your head

What do you want to bet, a fairly cheap PCDP with a little trickle of sound coming out of those 580s...

Total amateurs. I had THIS on coming back home after I bought it.

(They probably stick out more than the CD3000. I ought to add that I was sitting down in the train and not walking around. That would have been unhinged. )

Uhhh... I don't want to get run over...

My 280's isolate a bit to well and would get me run over real quick!

I have used them in the library and at work though... Nobody at work said anything since they all knew that headphones was my thing, and who's going to say anything in the library...

Beyer DT770pro in the city, coiled cable and all.

Walking along with them on my head people were doing double-takes galore.
Then I put them around my neck while I was looking around in shops and had 2 girls come up to me and ask if I was a DJ (I was wearing a black t-shirt with a pic of a pair of generic headphones on them too - I'm such a headphone geek) - they were cute too (the chicks, not the headphones on my shirt), probably underage though.

So yeah.... babe magnet.

But maybe it's just 'cos I'm a stud and it wasn't anything to do with the headphones.

Hello ladies!

i used to take my HD600 and DT880 out everyday on my way to work and back on public transportation for more then half year. i couldn't stand the portapros - what a snob, what a geek!
yes, i got a lot of looks, but after a while i started to look in a 20 degree angle up and look at the trees, instead of people. when i was on the bus, i sat in front, in order to avoid the engine noise, then i closed my eyes and didn't care for the rest.
that way i don't see how pathetic the people are and what looks these idiots give me.
(sorry, i live in israel, that's the way people are)

i want to have a girlfriend that has HD580 (then i'll let her suck on my CD3000
