bought them for 219 last night, and they shipped today.
i will be mainly using these headphones for laptop and HP touchpad and zune mp3 player.

i hear the hp touchpad wont produce much  juice, how true? imnot sure, what is a good/ decently cheap headphone amplifier.? how are they, how do they sound, are they worth it?. can i get one less than $50 shipped... and anyone verify if it wil sound weak on hp touchpad than on a laptop?

This might not be exactly what you are looking for but see if it helps nonetheless,

Occasionally I run my Audio Technica M50's out of my 2010 HP Mini 10'' netbook
and it sounds pretty woeful. Thin, tinny with the occasional pop and crackle
from the headphone out.

Your Zune should power them nicely, never used it with the Denon 2000's but
it was more than capable with my Grado SR80i and M50's.

the hp touchpad has dre audio chip in it, it makes great sound but not much power to headphones ive read. is there an amplifier i can buy that will boost my headphones power and make it sound amazing when i get them?

Ahh, you might be in luck then. Anything is better than standard HP onboard sound.
I'd wait til you get them and try the D2000 with the Touchpad.

Otherwise, I'm sure most people on here will point you towards the Fiio E9,
never heard it myself but it is far and away the cheapest amp you can
buy (already built) in my neck of the woods (Australia)

$100

I wonder if the audio output is artificially limited or if it's a hardware limitation...often manufacturers limit audio output of a device to comply to various government regulations.
