What is the official explaination for this???

It does not seem they did anything to stop this, if it keeps on happening this year.
I think you need to step back and pause for thought.

For all hifi manufacturers, the first step is to be able to replicate the fault, and understand how the original product design allows the fault to happen.
Until a manufacturer can identify the 'root cause' of an issue, it is impossible to confidently change the design to remove the issue.

@Rob Watts seems to not have enough cases of channel imbalance to be able to identify the root cause. Maybe the circuit design is good, but the quality control by component suppliers is poor (always a possibility in this post covid era). I am sure that Rob would update the design if it was at fault.

Overall knee-jerk responses and expecting instant solutions helps no-one, if the root cause of issues cannot be identified.

I haven't listened to Pink Floyd The Wall for a while and just listened to it with the M Scaler/Qutest combo, oh wow!!! At concert levels it sounds amazing, low level instruments all over the place and the drums sound so real i got goose bumps. What's amazing is that the loud instruments don't mask the low-level instruments at all. Incredible stuff. Listen to "Hey you"

I like (maybe prefer?) some of the Roger Waters recordings of the Floyd stuff.

@Sampajanna could you tell me a bit more about those tubes please? Why have you selected those? I'm in quest for tube amp for another dac I have but at some point I would obviously like to pair at least temporary with TT2.
I chose them for price/performance. There is a Cayin HA300 thread here at Headfi. I believe teh Elrog and new WE are better, but more costly. That said, I am very happy with the Psvanne Acme

@Sampajanna than you for the feedback. I had a very limited experience with Psvanne Acme and I really liked their properties, especially the large sound stage.

yeah. they are big tubes (soundstage big) and not as warm as some 300B. I love the flexibility of a nice tube amp with the TT2, which is cooler. I pair my Meze often direct to TT2 and then Focal and others to tube amp. I find that oftentimes when I get “upgraditis,” I really just want something different, not “better.” Such flexibility works most all the time. In my main rig downstairs, I have a tube dac, so swapping tubes also satisfies the same itch,

Looking at this almost every evening when I put my Meze Elites on, makes me proud that I was able to purchase a TT2 second-hand with a bit of a stretch to my wallet. Because it sounds so good to me (lifelike, balanced, satisfying, spacious with excellent imaging). Yes, the Dave is even better, at least in transparency with a sharper image and more details, but that is clearly out of reach to me even second-hand. At least for now.

As a designer you should be and I know you are even prouder. I do not envy you though when you have to judge what conversations you should enter to educate/save reputation and what conversations you should simply ignore. Good luck with that!

Thank-you - I am glad you are enjoying music more - which is what this hobby should be about.

And yes sometimes I am stuck between a rock and a hard place in posting. Many times (perhaps not enough times) discretion takes the better part of valour, and I delete a draft reply, never to be posted. But fortunately most posters here are intelligent enough to work things out for themselves, and I hope listen for themselves, carefully and objectively, and make their own judgements.

Audio Science Rancor

I too am disappointed it spreads to other forums. I feel guilty, having stoked the fire and getting irked by the disciples who come here to spread the good news. It shouldn’t bother us. I apologize for continuing it. I, too, would rather discuss the TT2. In that spirit, what are your favorite headphones with the TT2? I use Meze Elite… With my other cans, I use the TT2 as dac to my amp.
I use the LCD-5 with my TT2.

My Roger Waters Albums in order that I like, 1, Pro’s & Con’s of Hitchhiking and then 2, Amused to Death. His newest work is on the bad side of being crap.

You really need to sit back and listen to them carefully, as they are in effect just one big story from start to finish.

The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking and Radio K.A.O.S. are my favourites.
