The New Enleum AMP-23R Amplifier (Successor to Bakoon AMP-13R) Thread

There's a few of these in the classifieds, just wondering what went wrong?
Looks like there were only a couple of them in Classified this year?

Whatever it is, keeping mine for some time :)

The usual Head-fi routine I think, people just want to try new stuff :)

That and almost all being aold are the first version of the unit.

If I may ask, the second had something special going on? Or all the differences between versions narrowed down to squashing software bugs etc. ?

According to Soo In:

"There are only two versions and you can tell by the speaker connectors. The first production lot with the Cardas speakers were sold out too soon than we initially expected, and there were certain components that were no longer available or required a thousand minimum order quantity. We’ve decided to update/upgrade from the second production that it will get 50% increase in power supply reserve, more optimized/faster input buffer design and better components (WBT connectors and Mundorf wirings). Compared to the first production unit, we and everyone we trust with good ears all prefer the second/current production version."

I assume software updates were also addressed and V2 came with the new remote control which is built like a tank as well as the vibration isolation stands as standard issue.

There was a proportional price hike from V1 to V2. Although both sound magnificent, V2 would have better results with speakers I would presume.

EDIT: There are actually three versions, V1 (SN XXX), V2 (SN AXXX), V3 (SN HXXX)

V1: https://6moons.com/audioreview_articles/enleum-amp-23r/
V2: https://6moons.com/audioreview_articles/enleum-amp-23r-redux-2/
V3: https://6moons.com/audioreview_articles/enleum-amp-23-redux/

Differences between V1 and V3:
Totally different PCBs and updated software; both the forward PCB for control & power supply, and the rear amplifier board. Cardas speaker taps replaced with WBT taps. Gain auto return to mute function added. Updated chassis panels.

Differences between V2 and V3:
The left/right chassis panels have grooves in them, and the forward PCB is different (look at the bottom left corner behind the motor). No differences between the amplifier circuit (rear PCB), also according the 6moons the firmware was updated which makes sense as the MPU is located on the forward PCB.

V1 (SN XXX):

Mine just arrived, it is almost arresting how tiny it is!

Quick dumb question though, the feet came with some squishy discs. I assume those are to go under the isolation feet (aka between audio rack shelf and the feet)? I guess I can't think of anywhere else they could go as they do not have a screw hole in them, but for my own piece of mind wanted to make sure I was not missing something.

Indeed, these pads go in-between your amp's three legs and desk/rack, just to not scratch anything.

I've learned through this thread that they are indeed intended between the feet and whatever you place the amp on so you don't scratch anything with the metal and for friction so it doesn't move (it's very light so even connecting and unplugging headphones can move it)

Thanks! I must have not been using the correct search terms. I appreciate the help, will set it up that way

That's why I don't use them. I hear zero difference with isolation feet and there is no grip. Using the standard fixed (to chassis) rubber feet, there is far more grip with smooth surfaces so you plug/unplug headphones with no issue.
