NeilMed Sinus Rinse. I kid you not, as long as you don’t mind squirting warm water up your nose it makes an amazing difference, for me anyway. It feels like my ears have just been syringed. Well worth a try.

I’ll try it!

Is it included with TT2?

I've just bought an adaptor from Amazon, 2 female XLR silver plated cable then to one four pin balanced female XLR, just need to buy the Audioquest balanced cable or one which I've recently bought from eBay but with the 4 pin balanced on the end to the nighthawk job done, I can then do an A and B test between balanced and unbalanced and see which is better when I get the chord hugo TT 2

Surely you need a balanced amp. Also the nighthawk might get damaged on balanced trial due to too much power.. The front se is way enough the hawks are easy to drive.

Hated the sennheiser hd 800 with a passion, LCD X was OK, focal utopia awful had focal clear grado ps1000 stax oo7 stax 700,I've just bought the Audioquest nighthawk and it's getting better the more I run it in changed the leather pads to suede far better.I'm gonna buy the campfire Atlas but with pre ordering the hugo TT 2 and all the ear ache I've got from the Mrs, the nighthawks will have to do

Hmm using $300 headphones with a $5K dac/amp is baffling to me.. to each their own though!

There are some rare examples where the results are excellent. My main headphone is a 1100 pound oppo pm1 however the 170 pound 600 ohm dt880 by the father of headphones beyerdynamics produces excellent results when amp'd properly. The nighthawks are a favourite of Rob's. However a 5k set up needs higher end models of headphones to really shine you're right.

What if I don't like the high end headphones? I've owned quite a few and I prefer the nighthawks

I think maybe you could search more for one that suits you. When you say you don't like high end headphones that is a very generalised statement. I mean there must be hundreds of high end headphones out there if not thousands taking into account iem's.:o2smile:

I'm not saying all but the ones I've tried or owned had far to much treble for my ears, the nighthawks are a refreshing change. It's important I get the best dac and amp I can afford,I'm buying the campfire Atlas later on and get other headphones at a later date if I feel I need too, no point starting with more expensive headphones with a cheaper dac and amp

Been 2-3 years with TT you’ll be ok the hp can take it. You should bring ch2 for an a/b. It doesn’t have to be scientific, doesn’t have to be blind. I did 2 a/b with hugo and tt and it was obvious tt was superior for me. Curious if it is again with tt2 and ch2.

It has to be double the interpolation filter, 2nd order noise shaper , supercaps etc. No competition.
