I think you will be fine mate, what colour did you go for?The silver is a better model, sounds better, the silver paint isolates it better, also I did tests with a thermometer and the black paint retains the heat but the silver stays cool

I'm trying to audition first and delay of dealer getting one is frustrating.

Maybe chord should sell DIY mscaler // tt2 kits at half the price of the assembled ones. That way we would save alot of money and there would be zero delay in getting them. Just an idea // airfix and MFI did it.:deadhorse: Even crack head tube amp guys do it. I mean bottlehead apologies:deadhorse:

Quality issues,I mean I've got a rusty old soldering iron that's been past on from one generation to the next and I'm stuck with it now

I'm worried people will think i really made that now. I didn't it's just a joke...Seriously though bottlehead have a cult following and their headphone amps are said to be very good for the price especially for high impedence cans.

I built a Elekit TU-8200DX and for the most part it works fine. I have a crackle in the right channel that is not related to a tube. Its beyond my level to troubleshoot. I have a Hakko FX
