Huge Comparison of [almost] all the Best Bluetooth Headphones - post your own comparisons here

I think it's unfair to say that the rest of their experience is worthless while at the same time throwing praise to two or three companies that had neither ever developed headphones or wireless audio products.

Unfair? Young man, they are the N°1 on my list, what the hell are you talking about?
I imported them from japan when nobody knew them, without any idea of how they sounded, not being able to return them at all, not having ever tried an AT in my life, risking what you won't, and I do not lose an opportunity to praise them since then.
I am the main responsible if they are so well known now, and you say unfair? Are you serious?
And, "throwing" praise? So you can throw unfounded negative light on companies which did nothing wrong, and I cannot speak my mind?
Anyway I have suggested those models NOT because of the Company but because you asked for NEUTRAL, and those are the most neutral BT headphones on my tests. I do not like neutral myself. I am a basshead. I would never be happy with the Sym1, and I need to boost the bass on the XTZ.
But I can recognize the value of something which does not meet my personal tastes and I can suggest that instead of what I like the most, if I think that it would be better for a given person.
You are quite a person.

Yeah, of course it is your call. Who said the opposite? I started with "compare by yourself".
But if you tell me "I would love to go to Laos, but, there was a war in Vietnam, it may not be safe", it's not that I want you to go to Laos, but you talk me of your dreams and you show me the chains which prevent you from reaching your dreams. I just feel the pain of those chains.
What you will buy, I do not care.
I only care if you are happy with that. This is the aim here.

But I would appreciate if you would not "throw" unfounded doubts and negative light without any reason on a Company which till now only pleased everybody with their products and their service (be it xtz or any others).
Expressing a doubt is natural, asking for opinions too, but insisting on bringing something down without real reasons, even just subtly with doubts like you did, is not nice and you may want to avoid it.
Unless you like me giving you a (friendly) hard time :)

I'm fairly sure those are the Sony Wireless Stereo headset which was a part of the Playstation 3 accessories.

So it seems.
Happy to see it is not BT. I was already wondering why I didn't know it :)

@1wyseman could tell you about the B&W (P7?).

B&W P5

My second favorite. And since we know what my #1 favorite is, we're comparing apples and oranges. Besides, you guys are way beyond me in such matters.

I think it would be stupid to draw the discussion on what I should purchase any further. We obviously have different preferences and requisites as consumers and I see no signs of that changing through this exchange so I suggest we agree to disagree and go back to discussing the quality of headphones.

Fixed issue, my daughter had put on replay gain by accident. She was playing with my phone she said so that must be what happened. Not sure why it had a volume cut in it? I must have been playing with it at some point in the past. Phew, that is a relief.

You must be kidding. Please tell me it is a joke and you are just kidding.
What else do you think I did in the last 20 posts if not talking of the quality of headphones?

And, once again, if you think that I wanted to convince you to BUY something, you are wrong. I NEVER say what people should BUY, I only say what they should "compare by themselves". If where you live you can't compare and return it is your problem. My suggestions keep being a list of what you should compare.
And there was no drawing. You asked me which headphones I could suggest, I answered, and this was the first 10% of our conversation.
All what followed has nothing anymore to do with your purchase, and if you felt it so you misunderstood it.
You objected the reliability of the Divine and of XTZ itself, and I objected your unfounded objections, because they are negative for you, for other readers and for a honest Company which must already fight enough to compete with big names in a business which gives very low if any profits.
If you don't stop objecting, don't pretend that I do.

So, let's not confuse the cards now. I could not care less of what you buy. But I care a lot of the quality and OBJECTIVITY of the information that my readers get.

But we agree on ending this conversation.
Keep an eye on this thread, I am going to test many headphones in the near future. There may be some "neutral" ones.

Send me a PM. I may help you, I have a bit of experience with Replay Gain :)

Or a RV :p

You make me feel like wanting to test the B&W now, but I must wait for them to send them to me...

A couple of important Info:
1) the Discusion Thread for the ATH-WS99BT has finally been created. Not by me (I have procrastinated too long). You find it here.
2) in the next weeks I am going to review:
  1. Master & Dynamic MW60
  2. Definitive Technology Symphony 1
  3. Sony MDR-1ABT (with LDAC. I have got an LDAC source specifically for the review)
So, stay tuned!

Will be very interested to hear this comparison!

Both the MW60 and the Symphony 1 are great looking cans! I hear the MW60 is pretty bass heavy which as you know is something I look for in a great set of headphones....something the Symphony 1 is apparently lacking though!

I know you have reservations when it comes to Sony but I'd be very much surprised if you didn't like the 1ABT's! They're certainly not veiled by any means which I know has been your concern with previous models! I never got to try them with LDAC but even with Aptx and AAC they were the cleanest most detailed cans I'd had the pleasure of trying!

Giogio,
Hitting you back with a new one. If the Grado SR60 are my favorite cans at home (low end, I know, but its a college student :-) what are similar warm sound BT that are also COMPACT for travel? It looks like I'm looking at a price between the Soundlink and the XTC Divine - which should I get?  I want something that I can use for calls too so mic is important, both when using on battery (BT) but also wired if the battery had done.
Thanks man!

Didn't have the chance to test the Bose Over Ear. But you say compact so you may refer to the Soundlink On Ear?
Not even remotely close to the quality of XTZ. With all respect for Bose.
Nice, for sure, I loved them (one of the first I have tried when I started this journey, so, I am also sentimentally bound to them somehow).
Don't misunderstand me, they are surely good, light, nice, portable, comfortable (more than the XTZ), have multipoint, voice prompts, no flashing LED, a very functional battery level indicator, and sound very nice.
But, the XTZ (with Dirac) are on a much different level.
Anyway, I do not know those Grado, so it is difficult to me to suggest something.
Maybe @kayandjohn as an (if not the) expert of Grado could intervene and translate to me the SR60 to the AKG K845BT or Parrot Zik2 or any other which we both have tried.
What is your budget?

Wonderful reply as always Giogio :-)

My budget is under $250, but of course if I could pay $80 for the Jabra Move I'd just do that :-) I want good quality (doesnt have to be the best in the world sound, just good), portable (size but also battery long length) for long trips and also that i could use a microphone both plugged in (without battery) and wireless, for many business calls.

Have to agree about the Divine, quite an amazing sounding headphone. I finally got to hear them with the desktop Dirac DSP software and they were even nicer than through the Android app. Hopefully XTZ get's the Android app up to par with true Dirac and gapless playback and support for ALAC (although I can live without ALAC support). I have just today sent my Divine's to Macedonianhero to give a listen to so we will have another data point soon. I think the Divine, and the WS99 both deserve to be far better known on head-fi so the more people who have a chance to listen to them the better.

Although not as affordable, I'm throwing the B&O H7 out there as another solid sounding Bluetooth headphone and quite portable as well. The range on the H7 is the best so far. I can leave my phone on the kitchen table and go two rooms into the house and have no drops.

EDIT: @swanhnster7
I have seen the Voxoa around.
No idea how they sound. I have requested a Test Unit. Look nice, and support HD Call.
Somebody please correct me if I am wrong, but I think HD Call requires a special provider (maybe even a special phone?).
But still something.
Plantronics is famous for good quality of calls.
I still could not test their new Sense. Somebody who did could intervene and tell about their call quality.

I do not think the Move have a mic on the cable. Do they?

Which device will you use to listen to music?
