Setting up my DEQ2496 again... It´s such a complex beast it will take months to fully get the grasp on it I suspect!

I am wondering if the ECS8000 microphone is worth getting for my speaker system primarily... My receiver have a good mic and calibration system that really make wonders. Do the calibration system on the behringer match the audussey or equivalent system receivers use? Yamaha have their own system I believe.

As for RCA outs to use the behringer as DAC you use the same kind of adapters you use for XLR-coaxial adapters?

I am really confused on how to get the parametic equalizer to work. How does one open that graphic equalizer? I installed Foobar2000 and Winamp, then the Electri-Q, thinking that the plug-in is supposed to show. I've been at it for about an hour, with no avail. Any help?

it is good for getting a rough idea, but i found it pretty useless for actually setting my eq by. It does not have nearly enough frequency bands on it to give you enough to create an accurate flat eq in a parametric program like electri-q. i quickly set it aside and went back to the by ear method outlined on this thread. It takes some practice, but its actually really effective.

6.4/9.7kHz spike killing and slight 12AX7 tube distortion...I loooooooove it, SSL sure know how to make a good sounding EQ

i feel dumb as i've never touched plugins with foobar. Having the same issue what am I doing wrong?

Not showing up in Active DSP folder after .dll is placed in components folder. Cannot seem to find a guide on how to actually install plugins in general for foobar

I know what you mean. I felt really dumb when I looked down at my quick launch icons and saw VST there.

not showing up...

can you give me an exact run down after you download file? where do you extract it? how do you access it via foobar?

You put the VST Wrapper dll in the foobar2000 components folder and the Electri-Q dll in the VSTPlugins folder (not in the foobar components folder). Make sure VST Wrapper is in your active DSPs list below Dolby Headphone in foobar. Then when you open foobar you will see a VST quick launch icon on the task bar. Just click on it and choose Electri-Q. You don't access it via foobar, although foobar must be open. Hope this helps. :regular_smile :

This thread seems dead but I'll post anyway. I'm attempting to equalize my HD 650s. I'm in no rush but I don't really understand how this works. I cannot easily differentiate between loudness levels in different frequencies in SineGen and I cannot use the volume levels I use in Foobar2000 while I'm listening to music in this program because SinGen sounds really loud. Any advice would be appreciated.
