I'm just curious because I am loving mine right now. The K-501 with lots of bass, too good to be true.

The HD650 and the K-701 sound remarkable as well.

This thing has me itching to upgrade my DAC.

here, here. silly good. i'm considering converting my M3 into balanced operation, and to power efficient speakers as well.

I have one of the Rockhopper M^3s too.

Using it in another room with a laptop....

but the Constantine needed a better USB converter, so here's how it looks now...

Checking in.

Another one here, and built it with the bass boost. It's a fine amp, though has fallen victim to vacuum tubes. I have it tucked away, awaiting a time when I have the room to set up everything.

Got the 627/637, crossfeed, and bass boost with elpac here.

Wondering if the crossfeed has an effect on the sound even in off position... volume change is definitely there if I flip between the high and low crossfeed switch, even with the crossfeed set to off.

Alas this will eventually happen to me as well. I love tubes too much. I am so hard pressed to sell my Little Dot even though the M3 beats it in every category.

I had two - one STEPS / 637/627 / Bass Boost, and the other an eBay linear supply / AD8610, IIRC. They were nice, but then I found tubes, and, lots of them.

Quantified power supply measurements

Also note that

grawk's M^3 is not a standard build; it's got extra juice and had to be built to handle the heat (literally).
