The biggest headphones i've used in public are the M50's.

The biggest I'd go would probably be studio-sized headphones (M50/SRH840) as long as the cable isn't too big or too long. I'd prefer IEM's or ultra-portables though.

As long as the pair would be closed it'd be considered portable to me, hell i'd even wear an XB1000 outside if I actually had them.
