This is the susvara thread so you can figure out whitch one is gonna win the poll 😂. But i haven t heard caldera, sorry.
I voted while listening to my Caldera and I no longer own a Susvara. That said, if you're only going to own one and you want the benchmark then the Susvara is it.

Every time I think about buying a new HP the pros and cons seem to balance, and Sus keeps coming out on top. Call me boring but I’m turning into a ‘one headphone guy’ (I do have Arya V2 and Focal Clear OG but they don’t get much head time). As the ZMFs are all custom (nonreturnable) IIRC I feel like I need to hear one before I’d shell out $2500++ . It’d need to deliver something both different and superior to Sus to my ears or I’d just stick with what I have already.

I guess that’s why there are CJs, so we can get ears on headphones!

What amp do you use with your arya v2?
I ask because my arya v2 became double good with my 10W burson, coming from 4w topping. Now i use susvara 95% of time, but sometimes i regret for the big money i lost. And dont go susvara if your chain has not the power to drive it. See that even arya v2 are hard to drive properly.

One, of many, ZMF benefits is there is a steady market for used models and the "trial fee" of buying a used one and selling it when you've made a decision is fairly low.

You can try susvara and get refund if you dont like it, but with a fee. I think its 5% of the price but im not sure. It is in hifiman web. Many people send them back because of lack of power and to dont know they need to burn in. Out of the box they sound quite bad at first.

That is exactly right. I just sold my Verite Open a few days ago and now listed my Auteur.
