Hey guys I'm considering investing in the Susvara and am curious if the WA22 will be able to power it to quality levels. If not any other amp recommendations that aren't insanely priced?

It tend to be trickier to find a good tube amp that works well with the Susvara. If you already have WA22, obviously try it, but I wouldn't go out buy it just to pair with the Susvara. I have been very vocal about Soundaware P1. It's $1500 new. To my ears, it blows away many popular headfi amps like GSx-mk2, V281.

I listened to the WA22 at a local meet and felt it was underpowered for the Susvara. If you can find a local meet it's a great way to try different amps
I bought V281, pro ican, gsx mk2 to try before settling on GSK MK2. GSK MK2 was really underwhelming for Susvara. It may be great with other cans. Have you heard it with Susvara?
I love both of them. If you are into detail then 009, if you are into more organic/analogue presentation and ultra smooth vocals, then Susvara. Both are exception. I don't think 009S is that far off from the 009.
@gordec thank you for that response. I don't want to buy another headphone that is to close in sound to the 009S, but would prefer to have something that functions as a great alternative option that shows a different signature. Right now I have been trying to decide between the Susvara and Abyss. It would be nice to live somewhere near a hifi shop where I could audition gear of this caliber, but Florida is made up of a lot of people who are shocked by the idea of spending $300 on a pair of bose or beats.
I'm pretty happy with the 009S but I certainly want the option to have an alternative sound signature when the mood strikes of if a particular genre prefers it. It does seem that both the Abyss and Susvara are rather power hungry and would require a better amp then the WA22 as far as power goes. I recently ran the Ether 2's on my WA22 and I was on the hi setting with the volume knob just past 12 o'clock. That's another reason I am looking toward a better planar. I can remember loving the Ether 2's and even enjoyed them more then the LCD-4's (which could have been one of the reported poor performers that occasionally shows up in that line-up). However this time around after the journey to 009 and 009S glory I found them very underwhelming.
Anyway that is my current journey and I am hoping to get there within a not to distant future and just stop for a while and sit and enjoy the bliss of two TOTL complimentary headphones.
How much do you value palpable bass vs. ultra detailed midrange? If not so much, you might consider the Stax. Otherwise, it's Susvara all the way.
EDIT: Oh, I see you already own the Stax. Susvara vs Abyss is just a matter of taste and maybe what kind of music you listen to in the main. I'm a Susvara guy myself. I don't listen to heavy metal, though.
