Too late for me, orders in.
Sus order? You will not regret it... quite something to take in, I must say... simply incredible in every way.

Thanks! The Deluxe at $399 or the normal at $299? My budget doesn't quite allow for it right now, but I will plan for it next year. For now, the HiFiMan box will have to do.
I personally have the deluxe but the normal probably is also sufficient.

You can choose from several connectors so there is Actually more to it than just normal and deluxe.
Overall I have something in the middle but with the deluxe case

No, I've had the Susvara since July 1, I do luv it, spent a couple hours this morning comparing some recordings, its just a terrifically well balanced top to bottom HP.
And I find it pretty comfortable compared to some others I've owned / auditioned at length. This my most preferred planar magnetic of all the ones I've tried / owned over the past 6 years.

I compared 4 different recorded performances of Stravinsky's "Rite" this morning. The Susvara's reproduction of the various ambient acoustics of the different recording venues and how that effects the sound of the various bass drums, tympani, and TamTams, etc., (not to mention the rest of the orchestral instruments) played in a wide variety of dynamics, with exceptional clarity and inner detailing, is a treat. For me, anyway!

Got a new amp that can be added to the list of what can power Susvara properly

DHC Prion 4 Spore (2x3pin XLR into WA33 JPS Elite) sounds significantly different from the stock Hifiman 4pin XLR cable. There is less "ringing" and the sound is much more focused. I wish this were different as for convenience reasons I would rather use the stock cable and just swap the cable on the amp side (I only have one DHC right now across multiple headphones). Stock cable is also highly microphonic (picks up noise when moved slightly).
Interesting......I don't have that issue at all with the stock Susvara cable. And I don't find any degradation in sound quality either with the stock cable.

You can build it yourself for ~$30 with minimal soldering experience. Schematics are in this thread somewhere.

I've been bummed out as my one and only dac broke so I haven't been able to listen to my Sus, until I thought heh let's try my T1.3 Ballanced cable and see what this little shanling M6 21 sounds like. Wow lol. At 88% Volume on high gain, it actually sounds really good, actually has bass to. I wonder if the deal on some of these amps, isn't necessarly a lack of power, but maybe a lack of synergy. I do realize there is a threshold in its need for current, but I also can't unhear what I'm hearing...now. out of this miserly dap lol.

... forgive the spam, I currently have an auction on Ebay for NAD M2 -- running another day or 2. That one (doesn't have to be my amp) has excellent synergies with Susvara (I bought it for my HE6). Works via speaker taps, no headphone out.

I thoroughly recommend the Zynsonix Speakertap Adapter Box.

You can even include a switch between in line resistors for attenuation (like he Adapter) or without attenuation like Ampsandsound Adapter.

Thank you for this. What is the difference between these units and the HiFiMan HE Adapter Box? I listened with the HE Adapter Box last night and it was really fantastic.

I have both HE adapter box and an early (custom) version of Zynsonix. Zynsonix sounded better to be honest but take the standard model, the deluxe version could potentially have some downsides. Specifically (my experience, may have been fixed since), the gold plated premium XLR sockets did not sufficiently grip my >$4k DHC Prion 4 Spore cables, the impedance switch needs gentle nudging and twiddling to achieve a stable selection (so you would be better off without it). Keep it simple! Other than less dynamic sound, the HE adapter box has served me very well for almost 10 years now, no concerns about durability.

Gave my Susvara a new DAC to play with yesterday! The results are fantastic thus far! :)
