That sounds about right, and then I'll probably give long looks at price tags. 128 or 256 for the common man, that's landmark territory.

Nothing firm yet, but rumours and reports have it that the SDXC will max out at some date beyond the scheduled apocalypse.

iHP-120/D10 combo vs HM-801 SQ? Or that of iHP-120 headphone out vs HM-801?

I haven't received my HM801 Yet, but from my understanding, They can't even on the same stage. I had S9 before btw

P.S.
It's actually non-related stuff but for the hi-fi sound DAP i'd personally recommend JVC Alneo V-series. It made me to realize iPod didnt had enough capability to play trebles

it came out recently, XA-V80, as the highest model.
I was surprised nobody talks about this DAP

Its actually expensive, around mid-200 on ebay for only 8GB
I tried sony's X1060 and found i had more favor on this little DAP

just for your information

Sure, I fully expect the Hifiman to be better than the S9.
I was just interested in a comparison since the S9 is the only
portable I have. Cheers.

The beauty of the iRiver 120/140 is its optical out, not its sound quality.

It's very reassuring to see other people holding this opinion as well - makes me feel better about selling my iRiver/D10

i cant wait to compare the overall sound (from memory) to the original pacemaker, which was to me, one of the purest sounding portable units i have heard thus far.

if the SNR and frequency range is as good or better than the pacemaker then thats a cracking start

apart from anything else, i am sure the 801 GUI supasses that of the pacemaker in user friendlyness anyhow

It's fairly similar to a colour version of the 3rd gen iPod gui
