  Subbed,

My HE-6 just arrived waiting for UPA-200 it should be here in next few days, will post once they arrive

What will you use as a pre amp?

I will be using with Lyr, do not have any other option. Will test Lyr->UPA200 with my old Yamaha speakers for signal clipping point, before plugging HE-6.

Besides my own, this is my favorite HE500/Emo setup.

Subbed.

Was planning to snap a few photos of new grills on my HE-500s for that thread, so I'll take a couple of (hopefully) nice, more complete ones and post here.  Enjoying everyone's pix thus far

I recently got in touch more deeply with my feminine inner side.

I like your arty side.  Why do you assume it's feminine?

I'm guessing that's a photo run through some image processing.  Why not post the original, too.

I was joking with hifimanrookie.  We often do so.  Anyway, per your request, here's the original.

Yes, I've noticed you two lovebirds flirting in various threads.  Get a room

Thanks for the actual pic.  I was curious about your (tube) amp.

Ahh, my WA22.  As much as I love the sound quality from my WA22/HD800, I wouldn't recommend it because of inflexibility due to the balanced input requirement to get 100% of the amp's potential.  When running balanced, it's sublime with my HD800 and good with HE500.  Running it unbalanced?  don't bother cuz you already know what balanced sounds like.  This is not about balanced vs unbalanced, just specifically to how the WA22 is designed.  My DAC has balanced outputs.  I have been ok until the turntable popped into the mix.  I am currently looking into getting a preamp with phono in and balanced outs.  So far, the only choice within my budget is parasound halo P5.

Thanks for the review.  I'm stuck quite happily in mid-fi land with my Schiit stack.  The Parasound looks nice.
