Add me, please. Happy HE-6 owner here.

Audeze vegan pads and bronze wire mesh grill mod.

Favorite chain so far is Gungnir -> DIY B1 -> First Watt F1, but I also use a variety of speaker amps including a Parasound Zamp V.3, Carver M-200t with an integrated Lightspeed Attenuator and a Parasound HCA-1000A. Coming soon is a DIY F5...

Still running the stock cable. I'll eventually do some replacement there, though I haven't decided what yet. Fuzzor mod yet to come, as well.... So much to do, so little time...

OK, crappy pic of my 6 but bear with me, it's sitting at my other location, some 6600 km away.  Will post something decent once I get back there.  They're shown connected to my DV 337, on the right my V800/V200 stack.

Will this do to pick up my membership card?  Anyway, subscribed to the thread!

that 337 is huge !   has it enough juice to power the HE6?

Yes i believe so..I drove a he500 with this particular 14kg heavy complete dual mono amp without any sweat...volume never went over on 21:00 position.. But it could be turned up all the way to 18:00...and.it sounded heavenly... Miss him already :xf_eek:

To my own very big surprise when I first tried it:  yes it does.  Couldn't believe my ears, I hadn't purchased it with the HE-6 in mind.  Dual mono design OTL, the maker is not clear on the output and there have been several revisions.  Also, mine was customised (hifimanrookie knows the details as I purchased it from him).  I can't be sure about power output but it's certainly >1 WPC into 50 Ohm.  With the 6 I usually listen with the volume knobs (1 per channel) at about 12.  I stumbled over a review where the reviewer met the builder in China and it appears one of the headphones the amp was tested with at some point were the K-1000's (obviously with a different connection).  If it can drive those....  But as I said, no doubt for the HE-6, I use Tung Sol 5998 power tubes and either the RCA 5693 or the Tung Sol 6SJ7.  Sounds very neutral, quick, with just a bit of warmth added which is great for the HD-800.  What impressed me most and the reason I purchased it despite it being virtually unknown was a pic of the internal wiring: point to point, extremely neat, good soldering.  Look here:  http://www.head-fi.org/t/219504/darkvoice-337-a-review/890 It's my first tube amp and as far as I'm concerned a great deal.
