There are a lot of HE related discussion threads, but I think it would be nice to have a thread for all HifiMan headphone owners to discuss, share and enjoy these wonderful products.

How to join, or edit your entry
Fill out the form here:

If you want your entry edited, fill out a completely new post and then tag me in a post (the @ sign button between the hyperlink and video buttons, or if you are using the other editor, just type the @sign and then my username) and tell me you want your old one deleted. Be sure to specify which one needs to be deleted if you have more than one HE model.

No problem! I enjoy it, I have started about 6 or 7 clubs on OCN, so I figured I might as well try it here!

Can't wait to hear your opinions! The HE-6 or LCD-2 are the end-game headphones that I think I would like. One day I might grab me a pair.

I have the thin silver coated copper cable for my HE-300's. If anyone has the thicker black cable or another cable they'd be willing to trade, I'd be interested.

Anyone tried the felt removal mod for the HE-300? It's intention is to balance the sound, but it seemed to just eliminate the bass for me. I immediately put the felt pad back over the driver.

I hope to grab a pair of HE-500 when their replacements are launched. That is unless the HE-400i are noticeably better than the HE-500

Add me

I think i have owned most of the hifiman models until now..being the he300/400 and he500 (with modulor pads and jerg opengrill mod) and now this modded HE5.. And i love their phones deeply!
Here some pics of my very limited Referencesounds Code-X HE-5 #15 Black Edition, a heavily modded limited edition version of the woody HE5 (by the same person who gave us the paradox) of which only 20 originals will be made worldwide..and my particular model is unique among those 20 original made code-x'es.. The wood has a unique black dye and is finished with real beewax (like in the old days)instead of regular wood oil...it looks like its made in the days when the english still were pirates on the high sees..i by a joke told him i wanted an old look..as if it was made a long time ago..and OMG..he just did that! hehehe
. I just got them in a couple of weeks ago..they are NOS.. Not used original HE5..they sound wonderfull! Am now waiting for my custommade amp to arrive to drive this black beauty.
And dont forget..orginally this headphone was a completely brown woody..now its a black woody....and as far i know its the only one in existence thats made by him orginally as new. Enjoy...as soon i have new pics of my amp i will include them..good idea starting a club for higher end hifiman phones
The headphone cable is a custommade balanced Toxic Cables BW 22awg 8wire cable with seperated sleeved cables for left and right channel..the amp will be a Custommade Blue Circle Audio headphoneamp specifically designed and built to drive a HE6..hope to receive it end of february. :p

And some internal pics of my new custommade amp thats being built
PS: second (silver) case is the internals of external powersupply..
