Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone

My suggestion is to avoid adapter altogether if possible, there will always be signal loss in one way or another, imho it kind of defeat the purpose for buying a hi-res headphone like H1000 series, I am actually thinking of selling my modular hart audio cables for this reason.
you wont regret it. the Hart wasnt the best sounding when compared to my pure silver chifis or my Norne fusions. The HE1000 deserves better.

Yes...but if possible, on the other side with female 3.5 mm...it seems to me that this one is DIY :)
And again...Yes, Verum is stunning for the price and more...I bought two pairs :)
How hard is it to connect wires internally?

I see you have JM XTC...another pair on my wish list.

3 words - magnificent, awesome, bloody good. Ok that's 4. John tunes them to your preference and will retune for the life of the headphone. Looks - 10/10, comfort - 9/10, sound - 9/10. Clarity, punch, dynamics, natural timbre all there. Bass and soundstage are amazing for closed backs! I chose these over Focal Stellias...... Highly recommended.

Marco custom is a big step up from the stock too!

I saw some of his stuff on facebook and it looks nice. If i was an Aussie it'd be a no-brainer i think.

Yep - I am so it was ( a no brainer). I haven't AB'd it but Lachlan from Passion For Sound has had mine for a little while and could definitely notice a decent improvement on the stock hfm cable, Then again, I'd want to see a good improvement as it was $400 aud. I've never spent that much on a cable previously but wanted to treat myself to 1 great dual 3.5-6.3mm cable and this is it!

Everybody needs one, and $400 is a good price for a TOTL cable.

Well they’re off my Christmas card list then……
Oh, I forgot to tell you the main reason I got rid of the Bravura. The clamping Force was out of this world. It felt like my head was in a vise. I tried stretching it out but it didn't work. It's a shame. If the clamping force was moderate, and the distortion at high volumes wasn't an issue, and it accepted analog inputs, I would be totally content. I know that sounds like a lot of negatives but the system just sounds so damn good that I would be very happy living with it. It's amazing actually.

Hey fellas,

Thank you for yesterday's help; you've been awesome!
I might not be able to make what I hoped, but I did get the information about 3.5 mm, which confused me, that if rewired, can also be balanced.
I only wonder why there isn't an already finished 3.5 mm balanced choice on the market, too. :)

From the start, I bypassed Hifiman. I was not completely crazy (with time, they grew on me) about that shape, so I would always go for something else.
But, lately, I started to pay more attention to the Hifiman HE1000 V2 Stealth, or does V2 already mean it's stealth, and what's V3?
Haha, there we go, confusion again :)

There is also a big difference in pricing in the EU from store to store. I can find a pair for 1.6k€ and in some for 2.5k€ (not SE, but V2).

Is 1.6k€ (in the US $1.4k) an actual price?

Cheers!

I am from Germany and had the HE1000 Stealth. Ordered it from official Hifiman store. I had to pay 1399 usd plus 40 usd shipping and 208euro taxes. So it will be about 1600 euro, a little less, when you order it from EU stores. At last in Germany.

The SE, that also has got stealth magnets is not a V2 or a Stealth. All three are different headphones.

The V2 is not made anymore. The HE1000 Stealth is the newest version of the HE1000 series.

Cool. I was guessing the same, but you can find written HE1000 V2 Stealth. Also, on a couple of pages, they call it V3.

I know SE is a completely different model with stealth magnets, too.

I was more concerned that some vendors sell HE1000 Stealth for 2.5k in the EU.

I think it's Muzix from Hungary, and I saw one pair on another site for 2.5k, too.

Cheers!

I would encourage you to search this thread. I know I was getting frustrated here, and offered a simple explanation, quite some time ago. Everyone is overcomplicating the naming.

Stealth is better than v2 with the exception of a couple genres that like slow and smooth. It's also selling for $1399 when it was released as a $2999 headphone; the best value in audio short of Tungsten imo. They are fantastic for $1399.
I got mine from Sound Approach which A) charged me no tax and B) gave me 10% when I messaged them for a code.
So, I only paid $1260 out-the-door.
That's unbeatable for brand-new cans. Period.

as for naming- Hifiman just calls them HE1000. Box says only that. v1 is long gone, v2 is discontinued. They are just the HE1000 (or HeK)- and come with both Nanometer and Stealth tech.

I had a meltdown and was called cranky etc... The stealth is the stealth, no version number. If you just call it the stealth all other models have a version.
