Can you do an A/B to the HE6se v2 and the He1000 v2 stealth.

Nope.
I had the HE6V2 in the summer. From memory, it can not measure up to the HE-1000.

But maybe next week I'll do Stealth vs. Utopia 2022 as well.

There is no absolute agreement that the Susvara is totally superior.
Here in the forum there are several users who prefer the HE-1000 V2.

Also in the German "open end music" forum there is a user who had both, and sees the V2 in front. He liked especially the bass of the V2 more.

Probably next week I will have the opportunity to make an a/b comparison.
Of course with identical FR, as well as identical volume. I am curious.

One thing to note here is and this is an impression I get repeatedly is a Susvara driven by a "normal" headamp is quite different from a Susvara driven by a Bakoon 13R or atleast the Benchmark AHB2, its quite night and day, most people I saw try the former and share their impression, this is to keep things apple to apple, in the end a Susvara is not a $6k headphone but a $12k or atleast $8k one because of the amplifier it *needs*.

I haven't heard of any upgrade path from the HEK v2 OG to the new stealth version here in the US. Does anyone know if one exists? thx!

I don’t think hifiman has really released these just yet but it’s pretty obvious that they are upgrading all of their offerings to the stealth versions. The thing that is confusing at least for the HE1000 family tree is the branch seems to be long. HE1000 stealth. HE1000se.HE1000v2 stealth. And the price of each from $1900 to $3500 all in the exact same chassis and at least one getting a black cable

The 2021 remaster version is absolutely recommendable.
The sound quality is at the highest level!

On the HE-1000 Stealth a fascinating experience!
The instruments sound just totally authentic.

I actually think it will be made quite simple - officially it'll be the He1000 and He1000Se. Hekv1/v2 will just be old products. We'll probably call it hekv3 but realistically long term, it's now just HE1000.

your probably correct... when I asked Hifiman for clarification of the Stealth models they said.. the HE1000se is Stealth... and they have a HE1000 Stealth on the website now... one is $3500 and the other is $1999 ... I'm not sure there is a HE1000v2 stealth... for some reason the German sites are selling a version at $2400 (euro) and that price seems high because material wise its the same as a HE1000 stealth...

As far as I'm aware at least going both from Hifiman's site and what I will be paying, it should be $2000, not $2400...

One of the reviewer linked above wrote he can only hear very subtle differences through A/B-ing and wouldn't be able to without the direct comparison. At the end of the day there aren't any mind-blowing / obvious changes perceivable and both (v2 & Stealth) are a great buy because both are equally stellar!

according to Resolve over at headphones.com he says the stealth version vs the non stealth version is a measurable difference... how much diff I don't know..
