What I'd like to see happen in the brunk fiasco: Return > Recourse > Rejoice

Things are still moving around and I'll refrain from posting details until the outcome is clearer (hopefully in a couple of weeks) but already now I can in good conscience say that there's -regardless of any circumstances- a certain amount of bad faith involved that would at the very least (and even if this mess turns out as good as possible given the circumstances) preclude me from ever doing business with him again.

Fully balanced, 8W @ 50 Ohms, borrows circuits from stuff that's already a known quantity (that qty=awesome, in this case), and is built as a reference-caliber headphone amp from Simaudio. Don't know the price yet, but I'm sure it's wince-inducing in the extreme.

"Oh no!" cried the Head-Fi wallets in a unified chorus of utter despair....

Vade retro, satan!

Nope, I'm all amped out...F5 clone, about 70 lbs of SX-1980 on their way from Poland to Belgium and yesterday I ordered some boards, will get busy with a soldering iron during the dog days of coming summer and whip up a nice 45/2A3/300B (not decided yet) tube amp.  Those Lundahl pure silver wire transfos sure look nice though...at >2kUSD/piece

It's been a very long time since I sat down with the HiFiMAN HE-6 leashed up to the speaker taps on the Sansui G-22000. So I fired it up moments ago and...

 MY GOODNESS!!!

That I recently sold it strongly suggests...my tea may have been spiked.

Thanks for asking. Actually haven't been in-session since I made those comments; my first night back. Still need to give it time. At this writing I have the grills back on. Maybe this weekend I can 'neak away from basketball and honey and get in there...

It's as if they specifically targeted the HE-6.

Please correct me if wrong, but doesn't the GS-X MK2 also do 8W @ 50 ohms ?

I think it's 5 wpc into 50 ohms when run balanced. (http://parttimeaudiophile.com/2014/04/11/headamp-gsx-mk2/)
