Yep, a very good sign! Also got my notice a few hours ago. We do get to keep the old version until the final version arrives, so I imagine there will be some direct comparisons between the two.

I got an email asking for address confirmation so they can ship replacement HE-560 and additional new ear pads they have promised me for weeks!

Did you guys know when you received originals that there would be a swop? Were they sent out like the X5 as a beta or was it a recall due to the redesign?

I guess you could call it a recall.  I knowingly got the preorder by refusing hifiman to take their time to give me redesigned and larger earpads.  I didn't know that they would rework the entire housing though.

Have not received any so far though as I've preordered at a dealer and those are only getting the final version.

There was no indication when we put in pre-orders that anything but the final product would ship.
 
I got the replacement address confirmation email last night, too.

The price was the same (899 USD). The bonus at the time was a free carrying case. I'm assuming we still keep that. Additionally, there was a mention of a $100 credit earlier in this thread (made by the HiFiManTeam) for all the people who received and return the pre-order version in exchange for the final version. I've sought confirmation on the credit, but I don't have confirmation yet.
 
All in all, I feel very well taken care of by HFM!!
