@Wildcatsare1
, just curious. does that mean you are not planning on getting the Ether?

Yes, the more I thought about the comparison, the less I thought the Ether was a significant step up from my modded 560. I would rather wait for the HE6's replacement or the HE1000 (used on that one). The Ether is a great HP, but not $600.00 better than the 560.

Way past burn-in for my second HE-560 and just now for the H10, pianos now sound perfect. No more quibbles.

Glad to hear they are finally perfect.

Cheers,
K

What amps do you guys think pair the best with the HE-560 and provide sufficient power? I have the Magni 2 Uber but on high gain and it seems a little underpowered.

  Haha yes I'm getting a similar feeling. Want the best combo for the HE-560.

The best can be very expensive. There's some reasonable priced gear mentioned with the Lyr 2. The only thing is finding tubes can be a tedious and long process if you want to find the perfect tube.

  Bifrost Uber and Lyr 2 are a great combo. :D

Nice keyboard :) That used to be my main keyboard before I got a tkl.

Haven't compared it to other amps, but I like the sound out of my Ray Samuels HR-2.

I use the Garage 1217 Ember. There's a love affair between it and the HE-560. I have three or four different tubes that I use (depending on if I want more bass, more mids, or just a nice neutral sound with outstanding vocals). I find the Ember to provide just the right amount of warmth (not too warm). And it definitely has enough power to drive the HE-560.

True-but some CRAZY people like me seem to enjoy the "tedious and long process."
