I found something interesting on Adorama, they put up an HE-560 V4? https://www.adorama.com/hmhe560v4.html
I don't know if it's old or just a placeholder since it's on backorder, but I didn't realize Hifiman even made a V4 special version for Adorama, I thought it was only V2 and V3.

Curious! And no pic yet, hmmm.... I've had all three versions (have, technically, although the V2 is on loan to a musician friend of mine), so of course I'm interested in the V4 even if I don't need them, lol.

But I ain't paying $899 for them.

That is interesting. Not sure how many they would sell at $899.

HiFiMan: It sounds like $899, it feels like $8.99, you buy it for $449.

I got a new HE-560 V2 headband off of Adorama to fit my modded HE-500 inside 560 cups, but the clamp force is too much. Is there a good method to stretch out the headband to make it looser, or should I try a different headband? It's comfortable otherwise, just too clampy. The Sundara is not a problem for me, I wonder if they reduced the clamp for them.

Never mind, I carefully bent the top metal part, and now it's significantly more comfortable.

Aww man, I'm tempted. I'm having the hardest time finding any reviews or info on them, though. Are they meant to be an improvement over the V3, or is it just a new headband?
I think they are using the same driver, but with the new Deva style headband. They also have an updated HE6se (V2) on there with the same headband. I may grab a pair because I was never a fan of the suspension strap Hifiman headbands anyway, and many people find the Deva design more comfortable.

Ah, probably going to be a pass for me, then. Still, $300 is a damn good price. I thought the HE-560 was better than the Sundara, and was creeping up on the HE-500. It's kind of a no-brainer recommendation now.

I would urge everyone to do some research before buying the He560 Version 4. Some people have compared Version 3 to V1 and V2 and found some differences.

I too will be interested to hear how those that purchase a V4 like them. The best deal was when Adorama was selling the HE-560 V2 & V3 for $249 a year or so ago that came with both SE and XLR cables. I use my 560's from that sale, in balanced mode with a Drop THX 789 and to drive them to their fullest glory. The new V4 appears to have the same drivers, but no balanced cable.

Anyone giving a shot on HE560 v4 from Adorama? I’m very curious to see how it compares against other HE560s...

I ordered a V4, will compare it to my V1 that I use daily.
