I’ve never heard a 560 before but I can’t imagine this version being so dramatically different.

I am confused about the headband criticism - does it slide up and down on the inside arc and there is little movement or is the surface area of the headband itself small?

Yea, I wouldn't say they're dramatically different, but they certainly aren't the same tuning as the originals.

The issue with the suspension strap is there's not enough material. So when you go to pull the headband apart to put on your head, the strap severely limits how much you can pull the cups apart. This also creates some crazy clamping force.

From the descriptions of the HE560 v2, sounds like its a 400s or maybe a Sundara? The sundara was a slightly tamer, laid back HE560 from my experience. But I cant imagine putting it in a different headband and changing the veneer to the 400i look would make that big of a difference.

Dang, I ordered a pair of the V2's myself hoping the sound signature would match the V1's. From the impressions in this thread so far regarding the V2's it sounds like it's a brand new headphone and doesn't retain any of the sound qualities of the original. That's so disappointing :unamused:

Yes, I am going to return V2. Will wait for V1 drop again.

To all V2 owners: try pulling your headband upwards real hard and see if it starts giving in. Apparently they are adjuatable using this method?!

That guy was talking about the actual headband sliders on both sides, which can be very difficult to adjust. Even moving those to the furthest notch doesn't help the length of the suspension strap.

So the headband design is for toddlers? I don’t understand how it could be that bad. I’ll find out tomorrow when I get them.

I just measured the gap between earpads on the 560 v2 and the Sundara. This is with the suspension band pulled fully taught.

The Sundara has about 8" of space, while the 560 v2 has about 6.8" of room. That's a pretty big difference.

That has to be a mfg error then. I just measured the original 560 suspension piece on a spare I have, and it is also 8" in length.

Yea, certainly appears that way. I think one other person has confirmed the short length, it'll be interesting to see if all of them are like that.

Makes you wonder if they knew about the issue and dumped them on Adorama to move with the $300 price.

Given the issues with the last adorama sale on these, maybe Adorama is selling "b-stock" items.
