Yup, I recommend the Beyerdynamic DT: Sheepskin, the Premium Memory would also work if you don't want to spend the extra money. Just to clarify, in Massdrop's pictures of the Sheepskin pads they show the M50X version just so there is no confusion.

Thanks for the clarification. I was wondering about the image they showed for the sheepskin. It is Oval whereas the other on the DT series is round. Makes sense if the image is wrong.
Would you expect the regular sheepskin and fenestrated sheepskin to be similar but the fenestrated likely to have a bit less bass and more treble due to the pores?
Yup that would be the difference. You can double check with my HE-6 pad rolling link in my signature.

Can anyone that also owns a pair of LCD-X's provide any comparison between these cans? Love the audeze sound but man, they are hard to wear for extended periods due to the weight.

Which 3.5mm Jacks do you have in your phones? I planning to replace my jacks also, but have no idea which to use, it seems all jacks are to big and dont fit the cups.

You have to drill out the plastic a little as SMC connectors are slightly narrower. But these are the same as what I used I think (mine were cheap from ebay, same style)

A narrow barrel type socket would likely fit too, the quality of the sockets I used isn't great (not plated, and probably cheap metal) so I may change them at some point.

Thank you very much, I think I gonna go for the same jacks you have.
New cable for my HE-500 (my HE-500 have been modded to accept dual 3.5mm jacks).
Atlas Zeno, 4-pin XLR to dual 3.5mm, 2m
And yes I know my grills have a little rust, I still need to get new mesh for them
Very nice pic. Where did you get the HE400i/HE560 parts? I just got a used HE500

I had a contact at HiFiMan who kindly sent me the headband, they stopped selling them which sucks. Mine doesn't even have a model number engraved on it.
The earpads are Dekoni Elite Hybrid for Fostex TH-900.
Finally finished my pad rolling for HE-500. Here are the contestants:

so wich ones you like the best?
Perforated Ori or Brainwavz Angled Velour pads. Perforated Ori breathe really well and have that downward response that sounds natural with no rising treble. The Brainwavz Angled Velour are a little more accurate but also slightly leaner and aren't as comfortable to wear.
Been listening to a couple of the better performing pads with HE-500.
The standout is ZMF Perforated Ori pads with drawer liner and a small hole in the center
The Dekoni DT Series Sheepskin pads might give very similar results but I'm happy with this
