I have a big head and the fit is sometimes slightly uncomfortable, clamps weirdly. I tried bending the headband and it helped a little. Not much to complain about.

Hey guys!

Just got my HE-400i in the mail today. My 2 year old HE-400 stopped working properly so I decided to upgrade. About time anyway :D

First impressions:
Wow this thing is much lighter than the old HE-400's. More comfortable too. I kinda miss the bass from the HE-400's though. No more sibilance though! Gonna give it time to burn in. Currently using the E17+E09K stack but looking to upgrade those soon too

I use the HE400i with my FiiO X5 and FiiO E12 amp with the bass boost on and they sound amazing, they complement each other perfectly.

I'll have to try using just my E17 and turning up the bass a little and hear how it sounds!

For sure :D I've heard great things about the LCD-2 as well but that's for another thread

Yes im afraid I a going to try the lcd2. 400i need s a little more bass

Yep, as TMRaven says, go for used pre-December 2013 Audeze LCD 2.2's. By fixing/improving the soundstage/separation/detail it appears that the LCD2 have lost the signature bass according to some who have owned older LCD 2.2's to compare.

Just an FYI.. anyone interested in a free set of velour pads for their 400i, check out the HiFiMAN Electronics Facebook page. "HiFiMAN Customer Appreciation Event".  Gotta move fast though, ends tomorrow.

Would this apply to people who purchased the HE-400i from the loaner program? Doesn't seem so..
