So far am pretty impressed - pitted the AP100 against the 901 (with standard classic 2 amp card) and I really like how the AP100 stands it ground....

Not bad at all.

I am running fw 70. Are their windows 10 drivers for using this as a DAC?

Just use the provided driver, reboot win10 with advanced startup, disable driver signature and install.

Where is the driver provided? No disc included and nothing on the supplied hardrive. Anyone know where I can find these drivers?

This is funny. My player came from the factory with 0.73beta installed. So far it's quite stable.

Cheers,
K

071 is the stable version and much better than 073 beta I think. More detail and gain in bass and mid department and also faster.

Do foobar playlists work with the ap100? Can I just put them on the included memory? Thanks so much.

After some unsuccessful attempt to sell my AP100, I decided to use it as my daily PC's USB DAC.
Pretty good I must say. Finally I can use it with music streaming services (Deezer, most of the time) thus far more variety than just my mSD Card

And now combined with Schiit Magni 2U, I think I've found my "final" setup, excluding the headphone

Hopefully I won't be tempted to moved into the so called "Upper Tier"

Currently, this setup combines very well with Fidelio X2

But somehow I can't get it work with DT880 250Ohm (I own this before the X2 and originally, this one is the reason why I bought an amp).
It just feels too...dry? Or maybe because I am just too fond of my X2's sound

I'm just curious, did anyone tried the line out of the AP100?

Correct me If I'm wrong, but isn't the volume in line out supposed to be fix/unchangeable?

Just this morning I plugged my headphone to LO, and yes, I can't change the volume (previously it sets on 35).

But then I put my headphone to the HO, turn down the volume to 20, put back the headphone to LO, and the sound volume is lowered.

Is this normal for a LO? :D

I did notice slight differences in sound though.

The Line Out volume will stay at the last volume setting unless you turn on LO Control in the settings. With LO Control on you can adjust the volume when plugged into the Line Out.

Use the Line Out when connecting the AP10O to an amplifier as the signal from the Line Out is adjusted for that purpose to better the Line In levels.
