LO means Line-Out output to external amplifier.

Relax pal, we are all on the same team. I was asking what the LO control option on the ap100 does. I know LO is line out to external amp, but what does the LO control option do? If you don't know, that's OK. It does seem the LO is going through the amp of the ap100 as the volume adjust on the ap100 is changing the line level output on the LO.

Can anyone she'd some light on this?

The LO and HO are both effected by the volume control so maybe increase the volume.

Thanks bro for your concern for my well being - relaxing and listening to music is exactly what I am doing at the moment.
 
I notice from your posts that you are also helpful in answering other peoples questions, etc. which is a good thing as a lot of dudes on Head-Fi just seem to ask questions and do not give anything back in return.
 
The questions you ask have already been asked before on this thread.
 
Just do a search on this thread for lo and you will get a load of very helpful posts on it including mine. ( I have just checked)
 
Best of luck getting any answers from Hidizs - did I hear someone say they have closed the factory down and have all gone home.

Yes, last night I went through about 30 pages of this thread and realized the answer to my question is not that simple. Your posts have been helpful there - so thanks for that. At this point I have LO control on and volume set to max, then LO to my Cayin C5. Hopefully this is the best way to replicate a typical LO setup I have used on other daps.
 
Sorry if I came on too strong. My intention was honestly to clarity my question but I guess in text I came across as kind of a dick - my sincere apologies.
 
Anyway, the AP100/C5/HE400i combo is sublime. I do think the C5 is improving bass extension, detail and impact; enlarging soundstage a bit, and even helping with dynamics. That being said, the AP100 amp is pretty darn good considering its asking price. 
 
Big shout out to CTC Audio where I bought it - they are HIGHLY recommended for their customer support.

Yeah, setting LO volume to max will bring the best of your Ap100. Btw which firmware are you using? I'd recommend you upgrade to 071 fw.

Where do I find 71? It's not on their website. What would you say is better compared to 70?

Guys,
Firmwares and other discussion platforms can be seen on baidu -> hidizs forums.
But baidu blocked in some countries like mine. I'm accessing via proxy's and google translate. Other thing is account. If you haven't got account, baidu won't allow you to download.

Here the 071fw. I saw a few months ago 073 beta 1 but they removed. I found slightly modified one but 071 is better. :wink:
