It will currently only work if attached as DAC to your IPhone/ Ipad / PC.
@Joe Bloggs it was rumored at some point in this thread that Hiby will look into implementing native Roon Ready support like FIIO, is that true or not going to happen?

I would hope so. I would be essential for me and my listening habits.

As far as I see there's just as much if not more pressure on Roon to make their android app bitperfect on local output, or at least not actively block that out when something like HiBy DTA should have been able to do the job for them. I haven't heard anything from my end about this but let me double-check.

R8 case does not fit. The RS8 is BIGGER.

The stock leather case is fine, works well with the way I carry. But through normal use I've added a few scuff marks and some of the coloring has rubbed off. Would be good to have some options for replacement in the future. I do like how the r8 cover on the Hiby site has a cover flap for the top area where the volume knob is.

It seems the leather case with a covered backside will be available soon from HiBy. There is no cover flap on the top, though.

Sorry but companies NEED to prioritize cooling in portable devices of such high calibre. I understand the HIBY is no pocket furnace like other daps, but still, a backplate with vents/metal would be much more safe for temperature handling.
And, for the love of all that's holy, would you mind putting on instead a flap to cover the screen? thanks to the buttons on the side, the screen can be covered, but the backplate should be left to breathe!
